Artillery Tank - LRA-7 "Chaos Storm"

An artillery tank that took me roughly 3 hours to design and build. I didn't have enough tracks to make it a *proper* tank, and thus, I made it a hover tank. Enjoy!
About this creation

The main cannon fires long-range shells, capable of penetrating most surfaces and armour plating. But the tank got it's nickname from it's secondary type of shell, which explodes roughly 10 meters above the ground, sending thousands of shards towards the ground in a 30x30 meter radius.

The main cannon targeting system, one of very few achilles heels on the LRA-7. If one were to get close enough to the LRA-7 and successfully destroy the targeting system, the main cannon would be rendered useless.

Previous versions of the LRA-7 often fell victim to airstrikes, and therefore had to be accompanied by a separate anti-aircraft missile system to operate successfully out in the field. The LRA-7 however, was designed to operate on it's own, and thus, an anti-aircraft system was implemented. It holds 6 heat-seeking "smart" rockets, giving the tank capability of taking out (or at the least, fending off) 6 aircrafts.

The targeting dish for the anti-aircraft system. The main radio antenna is mounted just behind it.

The tank hovers 1 to 2 meters above the ground, depending on the terrain, and is propelled forward by 4 plasma engines. The engines can also be tilted up and down, allowing the tank to hop over objects in it's path. The engines have apparantely been used to slow down high falls, but this maneuver would require much skill and experience, and only a few cases of this happening have been confirmed.

The cooling system for the main engine and battery. A direct hit with armour penetrating ammunition in this area would cause severe damage to the tank, but not necessarily destroy it completely.

Another part of the cooling system.

This is the cockpit. There's plenty of room for the pilot and a few extra items. There's only one cockpit, but it needs everything to run the entire tank; weapon systems, controls for steering the tank, life-support systems, shield controls, and much more.

Another view of the cockpit, without the pilot.

That would be all for this MOC. Hope you've enjoyed it! Comment and rate!

Quoting David Calvet That's a pretty nice tank: I like the color scheme and all the details in the design. The explanations are also very good. Keep MOCing !
Thank you very much! :) I shall!
