Life size Halo 2 Battle Rifle.
About this creation
This is my Halo 2 Battle Rifle. It has a removeable magazine, scope, trigger and bolt. The bolt took me the longest trying to incorporate it into the gun without changing the overall shape. You can pull back and up on the bolt to lock it into place and then just slap it down to make the cocking sound. It looks and sounds very realistic. The Battle Rifle took me about 5 hours to make. It is life size, but I dont know if it is to scale of the Master Chief... Please let me know what you think about it, I take suggestions and criticism. Please review and let me know what you think.
BTW: To all of you who want instructions, I took this apart about 5 months ago, and I considered it my ultamite creation, and I had never been more pleased with any model I'd built. I did take many more pictures, even some FPS views, but the resolution is pretty darn big, and I can't upload many more of them, but I will get to that as soon as I can. As for the instructions, I may rebuild this someday, and fix the proportion issues, and post it. Hopefully then when I take it apart I can put up some sort of instructions. (10/8/06)

Yes the Battle Rifle does seem to be popular to lean on walls like Arty said.

Bolt uncocked. All you do is pull back on the black spherical piece thingy and pull up and it will lock, just like in the game!

Bolt pulled back and locked back. Now all you need to do is give it a good slap down and it slides down and shoots forward with a satisfying click. Really functions realistically.

amazing! btw if you want to give it the three-pronged muzzle, use 1x4(or 6)x 1/3 flat bricks, in the bottom of the 2x2 circle you used for the barrel :) |

What I find funny is that everyone who makes a halo gun makes the fatal mistake of saying " life-size". if you think about it, Master Chief's gloves add about a centimeter of armor on the fingers, palm, and the back of the palm, so if it was life-sized, it would be a good half-a-centimeter larger all around. other than that, pretty good, Four dismembered lego heads out of five. |

Oh and btw, the sights on my MP5n V2 are Eotech replicas, and the ironsights are standard, i won't bore you with names haha, it's like rotary drum type 4 aperture ironsights, yeah thats not a mouthful, so the sl8 is in the mp5 folder |

I've never seen the actual Halo 2 Battle Rifle, but considering the Halo Battle Rifle, this is what I imagine it to be! Very nice work! It looks like it jumped out of the game, considering the graphics of Halo. |
