As the second Alien war came to a close, GAIA's tech advancements led to this refit version of the retired Samhain Fire. Fore Plasma rod removed for the sake of an FTL drive, the first time minaturisation tech has allowed a fighter to be so equipped. Even as the FTL capable Hell-Fires and Sentinels did the job of winning the second war, the thousands of Samhain Fires sitting in storage across GAIA were being refitted. With onboard FTL's, the need for gigantic expensive carriers was quickly ending and the surpluss funds could go into fighter production. When a horde of brand new FTL capable Celtic Fires and recently refitted Samhain Fires MkII's hit the space battle fields, the Draggonne soon capitualted.

Really nice design. Very sexy. I like all the features and the fact that it is very playable. My favorite part is the pushed back cockpit. It looks like it would be more forward by the overall shape but having it back really makes it unique and original. I enjoy all your original ship designs and the way you utilize form and colors.
Thanx Brody, really appreciate that, especially the original part. It ain't easy these days! |

I really like the lines! The design is awesome and the color scheme really fits.Just saying:It would be much cooler if you add some landing gear, but i think there was not enough space.
Eventually....5/5! Excellent!
Do you mind checking out my micro scale cruiser?

The thing that does it for me is the custom type font on the hull; it just gives the whole thing loads of character. For some reason I am reminded of Cowboy Bebop. |

Now, that's one fine fighter, probably the best I've seen for a while in terms of shape and colour. THanx MArcus, It's definitely my favorite of mine, and yeh, it just has something about it, I am glad did Mk II and did it some justice. Speaking of justice, I have started a small space police group you might be interested in, http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/11893 , do join us if it suits... |

This baby looks like a space cop's dream ride! Slick lines and color coordinated to match. I'm curious about how tanya's mom got in the back seat? It looks a might cramped back there. I'd love to see it MOC dog fight! Hint hint, nudge nudge. |

Like, wow, Parrington, and good choice on the new LEGO Minifig head, too. This is among one of the best examples of a fusion of classic and modern LEGO fighter design that I have ever seen in my life. The SNOT look is also done very well but there needs to be a bit more greebling in my book, but I guess there is always that struggle between having a truly streamlined fighter versus having a fighter that is truly detailed, that is, greebled. Still, it is a very formidable fighter for the GAIA fleet. Speaking of fighters, I also made one for a LEGO competition overat LEGOLAND California with their LEGO Space Police competition this month. I hope that I did a good job with it, too. |

I never bothered to think about it, but you are right! When I take look at your pics from my fatherīs computer with a CRT monitor, the pics look fine. But, when I use my LCD monitor at home, the pics look overexposed. Interesting!
Arghh! I knew it! Thanx for confirming that for me Marc. Well what do you do about that hey? If you darken the pics for the backlit screens, then they look dark on a standard. I suppose I better upgrade my monitor some time soon. My Mocs must be an eyesore to most! P.S. Hows that badboy of yours going, got the parts yet? |

Thanx to all guys, I really do love the feedback, especially on a personal fave like this.
P.S. My monitor is old, not backlit, and though my page looks good here, I brought it up elsewhere today and suddenly everything looked over exposed. Is that how you guys are seeing my stuff? Please let me know so I can fix it...
Cheers all, keep bricking, and thanx again! |

I know this may sound like a typical "Phipson" joke, but I really liked the back end of this thing. All too often the back end of fighters is too square but you rounded it off and gave it a perfect shape... Yeah, I know, I can't read what I wrote without giggling either, but I meant it! haha Nice work! ~ Chris.

Congratulations mate, youīve just created my favourite ship among your fighters! In my eyes, this one has got no weak spot. Colours - great, shape - great, details - also great. And there is one thing that I really like about it: the air intake above the dongpit! I just donīt know why I didnīt notice it before (even on the first "Samhain"), but this makes these fighters and my Borderworld fighters look related to each other some cool kind of way! Awesome work, Parrington. Cheers! |
