Late 50's American Car
Late 50's American Car
About this creation
Well, this time I wanted to build a car from the late 50's. And although there are alot of great and mean looking cars from this era I decided to create my own model, with alot of inspiration from these cars ofcourse. I ran into some problems along the way, like making room for the back tires yet still managing to hide them. To make the car low enough I also had to insert the front wheels behind the fenders. I'm not all too happy about the way that turned out but I really can't think of any way else to do it. I also wanted to use bigger doors this time which proved a bit challenging, but I managed to tweak the teqnichue I used on the Camaro to make it work here aswell. The engine design is by Nate Andrews.

This is excellent. Lines, stance, proportion; it's all there - looks like a '58 Caddy. I like how you hid the wheels without losing track width.
