Yes, thats right. It was the only way I could figure out how to attach the front wheels. I'm not very vehicle savy.

Then those technic pieces have half-cutaways that the brick fits into. I don't have them, but now I know! Usually I can figure most things out as long as I own the parts. Thanks for explaining.

Gosh, when you look at something you really give it your full attention. Its attached they same way the cat is on the front, there is a black 1x1 with studs on sides connecting the technic pieces together and the axel is attached to the bottom and the cat to the top.

This is exactly what I needed... *evil grin* Edit: Or it would be, except that I can't figure out how the front axel piece attaches to the technic pieces. Probably a piece I've never seen.
