Creator's Notes and Bonus Pictures

Family Potrait of the first 5 AEGAKS. My display stand is getting very crowded. I guess I need more space.

This fighter was made with an elongated pilot block. I think it turned out alright.

If anyone has read this far, then I am announcing that I am working on 106, which should be completed soon.

Be sure to give credit if you use the pilot block.

This Instruction Tutorial is awesome! I used it and some of your other techniques in one on my MOCs. It is called the "AMC-001T Lightning" and yes, I did give credit to you (with a link to your page). Thank you very much!

Quoting Octavian A. heya, ive been looking at the AEGAKS project creations and story and im getting very interested in it, so id like to join the group to have a more careful look at the technics required, the storyline, everything, really. I hope i can make something sweet with the parts I have:)
Well, if you're interested, I do have some tutorials for techniques I used in the M Frames, as well as examples of the frames around which the models are built.

Hmmm, I See, So If A Block Was Something That Caused The Mech To Fall Apart, It Would Be More Part Of The Mech, Say Like More A Torso. And That Is A NO GO, Right?

Right. Don't forget, the prototype has three seperate parts, not 2. The shoulders and hips were not attached as one piece, but that was quickly rectified for subsequent versions. Example: My AD-35S Ballista for my ESC has a pilot block-like cockpit, but it does not qualify as an AEGAKS because the cockpit is built into the structure and not ejectable.

So, What Are The Actual Requirements That Make An AEGAKS, An AEGAKS. From What Can Tell, It's Usually A Mech That Has A Removable Cockpit Block, That Doesn't Disassemble The Entire Mech.

The AEGAKS requirements simple require the pilot block. It can be attached to many different types of vehicles such as mecha, aircraft, tanks. The block needs to be able to eject for the pilot to be retreive should they be shot down. If it's mecha based, there is a format for the designation, but that's pretty flexible at this point, and if you use ideas put forth by another builder, be sure to give credit.

Quoting BlaBlurBlah - Even their enemies, the robots? do their walkers need a pilot block?
No, the drones don't use pilot blocks. More often than not, the drone brain is built right into the drone itself. Personally I thought the idea of larger robot war machines needing smaller pilot machines was a bit silly.

Quoting BlaBlurBlah - I have a question- Does a robot walker in AEGAKS need the pilot block, or just something that looks like a pilot block?
The pilot block or some variation of it. Rai's armored block stretches it a bit but I like it.

Quoting Mike Johnson I'm so glad you posted this because now I have a far better understanding of how to build these unique LEGO machines. Once I get in the mood, I'll give one of these a shot too. It might even look okay if I get lucky but if doesn't meet standards feel free to say so.
Then you don't need to worry it. The only standard is that it must contain an ejectable pilot block. The rest is up to you.

Quoting Steven Hickman Man, i really love these! Ive built one or two on LDD, but i just dont have the right parts too make them from scratch. Which sets do you recommend to anyone who wants to build these...or mechs in general?
Well, for beginners, personnally I recommend hunting down some of the old Exo Force sets. They were wonderfully designed and chock full of highly useful pieces. For more advanced builders, I recommend bricklink.com for purchasing the pieces that you may need.

Quoting Keith Hansen What is the name of the enemy faction that the AEGAKS are used to fight against and may I use that as a theme for a group of mechs created to combat the AEGAKS specifically? Also do you know the set numbers used to create all the AEGAKS so I can find them because I want to try to have the whole set, but they don't make them anymore
Essentially, the AEGAKS belong to the Exo Force Universe, so they're designed to fight the robot hordes, though if you'd like to make a tangent line, that's fine as well. And I didn't actually use sets to make these, I got the parts from bricklink.

Quoting Fredrick Givens really nice share, especially for those who are jus getting started. so i've ben wondering and hav 2 questions for u. How many mechs do u currently have?, nd is there a connection between the AEGKS & ARTCS models. if the respose is too large then jus leave it in my inbox Slibinsone@yahoo.com
No, the AEGAKS and ARTCS exist in two seperate universes. The ARTCS belong to a Corporation conglomerate, and the AEGAKS belong to an alternate EXO Force universe.

Quoting Tyler Halliwell . Is it okay if I build in project Aegaks? Or do I have to start my own theme?
Absolutely. All I ask is for credit and for you to modify the pilot block as little as possible, but if you have to, I don't mind.

Very enlightening! I think I'm going to put this to use in a future MOC. In fact, I have an excellent idea already! Don't expect it finished any time soon though, 'cause I've still got plenty of MASs to finish. XD
