NFA proudly presents the ARV, a revolution in the field of recon. (Sorry about the picture quality.)...
About this creation
This model originated from stuff I was building with spare Mindstorms parts. While my two friends were programming the NXT, I started tinkering with the leftover parts and created the prototype that would become the ARV. Eventually I had to take apart the prototype since the parts were needed for the NXT, so when I got home I recreated it and made it better. And as you might have guessed, it did take inspiration from Batman's oh-so-awesome Tumbler.
Me: "So, Squidman, show us some features of the ARV!"
Squidman: "My pleasure."
Squidman: "Let's start with the front wheels. They are airless and are actually four identical wheels."
Squidman: "The cockpit can fold open. The pilot lies down, shrinking the size of the cockpit and giving it a low profile. The ARV is also amphibious to a certain depth as well."
Squidman: "The cover folds back over the pilot, sealing the cockpit. The ARV has to windshield, but uses small armored cameras in the front to guide the pilot."
Squidman: "Like the Tumbler, it has a miniaturized jet in the back for quick escapes."
Me: "Does it have dual cupholders?"
Squidman: "No."
Me: "Dang!"
Squidman: "Here we have twin brand-new AG16k heavy machine guns. They are mounted on swiveling mounts, so they can shoot at virtually anything around the vehicle."
Squidman: "And here's a view of the bottom, to give an idea of how the chassis is built."
"Thanks for looking!"
Now that I've let Squidman have his fun,

UPDATE: I am working on a much better, more advanced version of the ARV. When I am finished the new version I will post instructions for it.
