Based off of Jack Streat's TAR-21, mine has built in Laser sight, and more!
About this creation
Since this was Jack's last gun that he made (hopefully not), I thought it fitting to make it with as little adjustments as possible. The two main changes I did were the built in laser sight, and the Picatinny rail with EOTech sight.
Credits for the gun go to Jack, and the sight and rail go two The Dawg. Both are great gun builders.
The main feature of my TAR-21 is the built-in laser sight. The button to activate it is located in the front of the hand grip.
And there is the button. It's just an old bendy clip thing from the 90's.
A 1x1 hole in the frame under the barrel is just large enough the let the laser shine through.
Another shot if the laser without the cover.
If you wish to recreate this design, there are only two things you need to know.
1) If it fits losly inside your case, add thick rubber bands to hold it in place (shown in picture
2) Make the button simple, just do what I did and add a bendy clip with a brick(shown in red in the picture), no RB's needed!
The Picatinny rail works much like the real thing, just slide the attachment on and off. The sight is half-way on here.
Sight removed
The sight picture. It's not my favorite, and I even tried to paint the inside sight so it would show up better in the dark (which failed), but it is realistic and it does really work!
The flip-up sights are the same as Jack's, so if you want some close ups, just go to Jack's page.
The sight picture is pretty good, it's nice and open.
The working red dot scope is the same as in my HK 416 SOPMOD kit, so go there if you want more on that.
The scope ran out of batteries :'(
If you have seen the other page, you would know my scope has a little box which you would shove on the side of the gun and use to turn the scope on/off. This one has a built in box located in the rear top section of the stock.
There it is, the clearish thing is the light source, the light gray beam is the on/off button. Just push it in to turn on.
IT'S A RAINBOW!!! Ha, I only put black parts on the outside where you can see them, so then the inside is multi-color. It saves black parts that way.
One last FPS shot. I hope I don't shoot my foot!
And that is my modified TAR-21!
Rate, comment, subscribe, suggestions are welcome.
Also check out my other guns to get more info on this creation, and check out some of these other great builders:
Jack Streat, The Dawg, and JasonTreeville.
I will probably make a video soon, and my next creation should be my handguns.

Quoting The Dawg
Good additions to the gun. I really like the working laser sight. Also thanks for giving me credit.
No problem my friends, it just makes sense to me that we all support each other. It is just so hard to get a large following in these times. |
