ALMOST VERY GOOD JUST THAT. WHY IS THE PAWN'S HEAD ROUND AND WHY IS THE CHESS BOARD LEVELED ENOUGH??

It means a lot, thank you... :) But there are other builders that are far better than me that don't get the same amount of attention that I do, so I'm thankful for the comments I get ;) And I have to say that the reception that its been getting a way better than I anticipated...

Thanks for the compliment, I am trying to figure out a "purist" way to make a cross but am stumped at the moment...

I don't know if you intended on such a big reception, but I still think this is probably the most underrated MOC this week--it's gotta be one of the best sculptures I've seen on the pages in a while.

Nice and abstract. Only bug is that the king looks more like a queen. A cross on the crown would've been more obvious.

Great example of deconstructionalism (not sure it's the accurate translation, though).

When I first looked at this, it looked so good that I thought it wasn't legos!! Excellent, 5/5!

I used to, but got busy so I kind of stopped playing... though I'm not really that high ranked... I am only ~1100

I claim artistic license :) But in all seriousness, I noticed that after I took the pictures, but figured I'd wait to see if anyone would notice. ;) And yes, I am interested in making a full set, however no promises... yet...

i like the pieces and the board, but last i checked (no pun intended) kings cannot move like knights. if you had the resources, id be interested in seeing an entire set in this style

There's one of those screw drivers inside it, so that's how most of it is attached... the head of the pawn is really just sitting there, I'll post instructions with the next Weapons etc. later this week.

nice chess pieces, maybe you should do a whole set. the board looks like it's dissolving, it gives the whole thing an abstract feeling, nice little moc.

This just made my day. I love chess, and I can't ever find anyone to play with. And the computer ALWAYS cheats. The pieces look utterly amazing, and the board actually reminds me of a book i looked through a long time ago. It didn't have anywords, but it had a part about a chessboard that looked like that. Great work here. Please make a full set.

Leda is correct. This is really good. There is a great undertone to this with the board looking like a battlefield as the King advances. Quite good.

Don't put your work down!!! This is a beautiful moc. Just because its not a mammoth creation mean its not worthy of posting. This is artful and creative and very delicately made. I like it very very much. The design of the chess pieces are perfect.

I really like the abstract-like feel to this, and those chess pieces are so cool.
