This is the Pugno Mortale, or Death Fist, and it is the assault bomber of the Berlusconi territory. Designed to be missile heavy, with both externally and internally carried missiles, it can pummel targets from hundreds of kilometers away, and inflict heavy damage on interceptors that might try to take it down.
Including the rear-facing twin-turret, the Pugno Mortale is only ~27 studs long...but it is over 71 studs (21.9"/55.63mm) wide. The cockpit and swept wings were part of the original inspiration for this, as was the addition of the large intakes. The central cockpit section has a pair of 2x4x2 female-sided bricks on either side, which is connected to the missile pods via 2x8 plates, and 4x12 plates connect the missile sections to the wing/fuselage areas.
The cannon armament of the Pugno Mortale is four Large Neutron Beam Cannons (fixed forward, below cockpit) and two Medium NBCs (rear twin-turret, behind cockpit). Missile armament is an additional dozen medium ordinance hardpoints (shown with air-to-air missiles), four Artillery Missile Racks (either side of cockpit), and a pair of Anti-Warship Torpedo hardpoints (one under each wing/hull section).
Overall, I was very much going for a flying/blended wing style with this bomber. Some points of note are the scramjet intakes (using a windown frame sloped rearward), the all-glass cockpit ala Starfury, and the hardpoints for the Anti-Capital Warship Torpedoes. As always, it is 100% buildable in real life.
As always, any comments are great!
P.S. Thanks for the comments, Wiseman. My Italian is rusty, at best. I need more help on other model names. I'll shoot you off an e-mail.
