”Get him off me!” screams Hjard, as the alien throws itself upon him, tearing at his head. Captain Yhid empties his blaster against the head of the alien, to no avail.

With the death of Hjard, the alien seems to have completed its goal and depleted whatever strength that kept it going.

It dies in a heap upon Hjards dismembered body, and Yhid stares in horror, for a moment stunned.

But he regains control of himself just in time to avoid being hit by the cannon tower wich has once again focused upon destroying the Explorien efforts to reach their target.

As Private Hyndel provides covering fire, and prevents any aliens to get close...
