CPS Nazkhom
The Coalition of Planets has it's first civilian vessel. I think. If I'm wrong, come and tell me.
About this creation
Good morning, evening, or afternoon, viewer. I finished my homework earlier than expected, as it is around midnight upon writing this. Thus, I was not tired, and had nothing to do. So why not upload one of my backlogged MOCs whose photos I have sitting in my computer for a few weeks?

I present to you the Nazkhom, the first COP ship to be named in the Tarsin language. Mostly because I'm the only one who knows anything at all about the language. Hell, I only have verb tenses and part of the noun declension mapped out. Anyways, this is a freighter.

Le gasp. A freighter? In the COP? Aren't those guys all about the warships and guns the size of Texas? I'm afraid not, viewer, even the mighty Coalition needs people to pull cargo. Which is what this ship does. Who'd carry cargo when you can pull it as a great reduction of mass? I proudly present you the Nazkhom...

You may not a resemblance to to the ship in that visually amazing but plot-wise dreadful movie Avatard. I mean Avatar.

It's similar because, good movie or not, that ship was legit. Legit as in, scientifically feasible. These here are the radiators for the large amounts of heat it makes. They radiate in an outward direction, away from the ship.

Big engines to reach relativistic speeds, with all the cargo and stuff pulled behind to reduce several extra thousand tons to only a few hundred tons. The cargo on this one is far from full pulling capacity, I just was too lazy to make more boxes.

Trust me, when you're going 60% the speed of light, every gram/ounce counts. Every single one. Thus, weight reduction is highly necessary. Ask our friend Areetsa C if you don't believe me, he'll give you a stern talking-to on such matters. I hope.

Luckily, the Nazkhom is a COP freighter, they have Warpspace to travel through. Such speeds as 60% aren't needed, 40% is a more comfortable rate. After all, the Warpship E-class can only just reach above 50%, and it's much smaller than this (I never build in the same scale twice, except for minifig scale, pretty much).

So yea, there's your reasons. Why is it called Nazkhom? What's Nazkhom even mean? Is it gibberish made into a meaning? Well, all words are that, but there's method behind it.

In the Tarsin language, Nazo means "to take flight". It comes from the root Nazoro, to fly. Why is the word for taking flight shorter than just flight? Why does Latin have so many tenses? No one knows. Khom comes from Kho, the essence of thought, or living thought, if you want to think about it that way, which is from an older form of Tarsin. Basically, Nazkhom means "Living Thought Takes Flight".

Fancy name, eh (Also, pretty fancy writing. Tarsin alphabet, it's cool)? Well, you're bound to have that in a language like Tarsin. One day I'll publish a guide to it here, in MOC form. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed yet another creation from me. Uh oh, I'm getting into the habit of long closing paragraphs again.

Precipice will not return this summer over my dead body. We are ending this series here and soon, even if I have to do it myself. Gus assures me it won't come to that. Anders is seldom about these days.

Why'd I build this? You'll see.

Quoting Richie "Richie2571" Collins I would like to reply to your comment on why its "Cool" to hate AVATAR; I found what you said rather hurtful; There are some (myself included) who havent even heard of "Dances with Wolves" for instance, untill avatar came out. to those of us who fit that category, the story has NOT been "Done to death"
Well, that's just like, your opinion, man.

Well, with an Ultra-High-Feedback-Density-Electron-Drive Core jointly powering a Zero-Point-Distortion Generator and a High-Feedback-Density-Electron-Drive Momentum-Modulating Booster. You can travel at speeds far exceeding "C" (Because you would slip into hyperspace using that combination) Without half as much heat-exchange surface area. Unless, that is, you use a traditional Ion-Drive for sublight travel. Either way, the above system would be much more efficient than a Fusion-Powered Matter-Antimatter Booster-Drive

No word MOCpages hates, but you have no idea how much heat is generated by these engines and systems. Go read about actual space travel.

Realism? Bah. No offense, put those panels on the sides make it a big target for large ships. Although, this is a civilian ship, so it really doesn't matter.

Quoting danny morgan Does it have to relate to the Latin language of earth? After all, we are not from earth
The structure is similar to Latin- nouns and verbs all have endings, things like "the" and "by" do not exist as separate words. I only know two languages (kind of), and since Latin is so different from our English... the logical choice was to use it as a base. After all, I'm no linguist.

This is such a wonderfully designed civilian transport! There are so many great details packed into a small section of the ship with a great overall look to it. Great job!

I vote school. Anyway, you still are one of the best midiscalers I can think of, and this is no exeption(I spelled that wrong did'nt I?) I like the elongated Y shape and the concept of a cargo hauler. Keep it up!

Quoting Damon of the 1337th Squad what happened dude, you were the most popular mocpages guy in 2008/9, also i haven't posted anything in like 2 years, well good moc, hope you get popular again
Either tanks and spaceships are no longer appreciated (as I see bad custom clones getting twice this amount of ratings), or school happened, delaying my postings.

Because your d00dz put their stuff in our group, I figured our d00dz could put stuff in yours.

Why is it now the "cool" thing to hate on Avatar? Anyways. That thing looks beast. I love the greebles and those engines are a work of art. I hope to see something like this in the future, as well. Mayhaps a lightly armed auxiliary craft (with LOTS of antennae)?

Quoting Justin L. Awesome ship! Did you actually study physics for that? Anyway, I want tips on greebling. My greebles always turn out too organized or too random, or they just look...dumb.
Not exactly. It was more reading than studying. And for greebling? Well, I find it helps when you make them symmetrical. I'm not sure how I do it, but when I have something that works, I duplicate it into a pattern. If you keep trying at it, you do get better. There was a time when I did poorly at greebling too.

Because the more I think about Avatar, the more I realize the only reason so many people saw it was the special effects. The story has been done to death a thousand times. And what was I supposed to do, cheer as the smurfs doomed themselves to a full-scale assault by Earth with 22nd century technology instead of 21st? I was with the humans anyways, our survival trumps theirs, that's how life works.

Nice use of the grid pieces. I'm ready to take pictures of my 3rd U.N.E. comic, but my sim card is being borrowed until Saturday. I'm eager to see its role in Precipice. 5/5!
