This is a ground-based, hovering personnel transport.
About this creation

I made the Hover Transport in spring 2002 while I was a judge for Paul Hartzog's Hover Thing Contest. At the time, I was tripping out over all the red Futuron minifigs I scored on Ebay so I made a vehicle to show them off (and make Tim Courtney drool). It's a pretty simple, open design of a repulsor-type craft for transporting a dozen personnel from A to B. About a year later, just before Brickswest 2003, I modified the Hover Transport into an Imperial Stormtrooper version.

This rear view shows the forward propulsion systems. Note that a white 1 X 1 stud clip is glued on the backs of the minifigs.

A view of the Hover Transport without passengers or driver. As usual, I tried to keep the lines smooth and studless.

I might use the overall shape of this to make my own Hover Transport. But even if it comes out great, yours will be much better. Great MOC, Congrats on MOTD!

Very nice. However, the troops look a little exposed. Maybe you can narrow the seats to two wide and armour plate the troop section. Please send me instructions.

That's so cool!!! Please post instructions. I like the studless MOCs very much, so I find it just suberb! I would have given it 100 out of 5, not just some 5 out of 5! Great Job! I'd like you to visit my page. If you do, please leave a review!

I love this for it's duality...it seems simple, yet is a deceptively complex and detailed little vehicle! I truly enjoy seeing the classic space logos (I sometimes include them in my Star Wars customs), and the Stormtrooper version looks great as well. -Brian
