Hot Rod II by Biczzz, 2006.
About this creation
This is my most famous MOC. It's a big yellow hot rod with full independent suspension, steering, transmission, interiors, opening doors and an exposed V8 that works just like in Technic models.
These photos are from the original version, completed in 2006:
This car was updated in 2008 to enter a contest. It has a new rear with a new rear suspension completely hidden by the body. Some minor design adjustments were made on the rest of the car.

This is really amazing, it's almost perfect: It has everything! From steering, to working pistons, to good build quality(well that's how it looks!)
Only remarks are: the rear end doesn't seem part of the rest of the car(But then again, who cares, it still looks GREAT). Secondly, someting really small: it has 2 spedometers...???
This could really go on sale right away by Lego itself!!! |

This is so so good. I've linked this to the Rod Club (in the Large Scale Vehicles section). If you'd like it removed, just leave a comment. Otherwise welcome! |

What would happen if you took one of those Engine cylinders and put a circular 1/3 block on top then hand made a top with a ball bearing and spring to make it run of compressed air? |

I didn't look to see who made this the first time I saw it on brickshelf, but I should have known it was you. The detail on this model is fantastic! I had started my next MOC, and had
taken a break, but after seeing this for the first time, I felt motivated to resume my work.
My favorite part of this MOC is the detail of the engine. It just looks amazing! Keep up the good work. |

Very, very nice. Sooo detailed. Though I don't think I've ever seen a car with doors that open like that. |
