Tie LI
The Imperial Navy's new multi-Tie
About this creation

The Tie Long range Infiltrator is the Empires experiment into quality over quantity, due to the recent loss to the Alliance and the restructuring of the Empire the believed that a disposable fleet was not cost effective. The Tie/LI was to become the new workhorse of the fleet. This model was meant to be a multi-purpose ship.

The Tie/LI was equipped with many items not standard on a normal Tie. The first major redesign was the removal of the solar array to a bigger power plant. The additional powers was also put into the shield generator and the upgraded weapons package.

The new weapons package is set up to four turbo blasters (two next to the pod unit & two on the wing assembly) also there are four missile launchers and a small weapons bay for small payloads. The ship also contains a full sensor suite for deep cover recon missions, but the biggest improvement was the addition of a class one hyperdrive for long range missions. The speed class is said to be 0.90 for fast intelligence delivery to the fleet.

The Tie/LI saw limited production due to the Admiral Thrawn debacle which left the Empire struggling for more resources due to the heavy losses.
