This is Log #245 of casualty # 171. Today I was one of the few to attend well, you know.
I will go on from today remembering him. It hurt me that his death would not be known. Someone will not go on today and know one of the Titans made to protect them is dead. They are to know little of him. He is a Spartan you see.
It was said once that a human dies like a breath exhaled from the earth. I was his escort. You see I did not know him. But, after my sorry, our trip to his final resting place, I miss him. He could have touched so many. Spartans deaths are kept secret. In being section three ONI, I was given authorization to do it. It is told that Spartans never die. They only go MIA. This keeps moral high. False moral.
You cannot know when you die. Otherwise, you would go insane. Some are cursed with final seconds. He died instantly. I wish I would have been granted his fate instead. Even though I have done many things, he could do more. You never know, one Spartan could save us all. I don't know if you've heard the saying, but one man could truly be the difference.
Many don't know weather or not a person has died until they see the body. They may see the casket; may see the blood. It is not until they lay their eyes on the body is when they accept what has happened.
I know he has done great things. It is only now do I realize what we are fighting for. It may be humanity's survival. But it is also the respect of our own existence. He truly is a Fallen Titan.
