Castle Bergfried
This was my first atempt at a larger scale castle. I tried to keep it simple, as it would have been in the early middle ages, that means no fancy fasades, no ornaments, just raw stone and wood. The wooden palisade was ment to encircle the whole thing but it got too expensive for me, so I decided to just keep the entrance part.
About this creation

Throne room with the coat of arms colours of my king.

The entrance room with a nice dragon tapestry.

The jail with an unfortunate fellow, guarded by a knight and hungry wolf-dog.

And at the top the trumpets rang.

The royal John.

Balista, mounted on top of the main defence tower.

The gatehouse.

Side view.

The stairs to the main defence tower with a balista.

Royal hunters.

Inside the palisade.

The top flor with the hoardings.

The king's bed chaimber.

A simple stable for the visitors' horses.

Quoting Martin Geistefeldt Great work! You showed that a simple design can make a castle look fantastic, too. Besides I really like your unique style of architecture. ---- You shall have the instructions for my dwarve sets! Just visit my site and download the files if you want to. AXIOS!
Thank you very much, when I'll have all the parts needed for your dwarves sets, I will message you, we will exchange emails and I will send you the pics, if you'd like, of course. :)

I like this a lot. The use of the brown for wood structure along with the stone gives it a very appealing and realistic look. Nice Work!! :)

še enkrat:izjemno dobro narejen grad/utrdba. Škoda le da nisi dal one slike iz KF gor ko ma na vrh laser AA tower hehe. ----- it looks much better in real(all those minifigs around there, arrow slits in tower etc.) I do miss that pic of minifig with scoped crossbow on wall though ;).

Thanks :), I was going for the somewhat believable fortress design, but if I had to build it again, I'd change a few things. :)

Cool fort, much detail and believable stronghold-design. Why should a border fortress have ornaments etc.? YOurs more military than a king's castle
