Butterfly Knife
About this creation
here is an actually good lego butterfly knife. most of the ones that i have seen are either ugly or they do not preform well at all. this "knife" has very little play in the handles/blade both when it is closed and when it is open. also when flipping it, it is smooth and not jerkey when flipping hard. (for some reason that last sentence just sounded wrong) i did not build this because i am not allowed to have knifes i just built this for the fun of it. also if you choose to replicate this dont hurt you or any body/thing.

closed with the latch on

slightly open with the latch un-done (duh)

all the way open

Ok, thanks for not being mad. I'll probably upload it again, but give you credit of course. It is a great idea!

Quoting Chris K Very nice! Oh, and about my single shot pistol. I accidentally deleted it while trying to add a comment of apology for using your bolt action idea. (I was on my iPod touch and tapped delete instead of edit on the tiny screen). I saw you bolt action rifle a long time ago (before I had a mocpages account) and built my own version. A while ago I decided to make it into a pistol, and had forgotten where it had come from in the first place. Yes, indeed the idea is from your rifle, and I give you credit for it. I hope you understand. Since I deleted the gun by mistake, would it be ok if I uploaded it again, but give you credit for it?
I don't care if you have it uploaded or not. Just give credit where credit is due. And i'm not mad at you, i'm actually impressed that someone thought my idea was good enough to replicate.

Quoting Knoll grey the best ive seen. only problem is the handles are too fat. a normal metal set are about half that size but eh, its lego, i cant complain because i ran into the same problem. also latching it open is a bad habit to get into. it will stress the metal at the weakest point on the handles; where it splits to allow the handle to be attached, forming the death cracks.
Yes, that is one of the almost unavoidable things about lego, everything is too fat. I do not own a real butterfly knife although if/when i do, i always take care of things like that. It is more of a show knife so it would not be used for very much cutting anyway. I have a SOG Mini Vulcan for that. Well then, thank you for the compliment!
