M113A5 Armored Personel Carrier
Tin can for the 21st century.
About this creation
During the opening weeks of the war, the UFS M113A4s were an important tool in keeping their troops safe, and were quite adequate in Urban fighting. However, the UFS staff (after receiving some feedback) realized that some improvements could be made, thus the M113A5 was born.

The M113A5 is a new build version of the venerable M113 with several notable improvements. The armor is varied, but aluminum with Kevlar is standard. However, some of the premium support variants (like the one shown) have titanium armor in vital locations. A few versions have RPG cages, but it is not required when the "Throne" anti missile system is installed. The Throne is a major ace card of the M113A5, making it a very safe place for infantry to ride on.

The armament of the M113A5 is a standard Predator remote gun system (12.7 millimeter gun variant) and the lethal ATGM which it carries. This combination is very lethal to infantry and tanks together, although the later is essentially a one-use weapon.

The engine is perhaps the most major difference. It is a locally produced Hadron Works HW-HYE57P Hybrid Electric Engine. It is a quiet, powerful, and highly fuel efficient engine that is perfect for long operations.

This variation has had a brief and exceptional service history. The role of a battle taxi is very important in a war such as this, and it does this role efficiently. Its best usage came during the defense of Iceland from Russian Paratroops, where its light weight and exceptional power-to-weight ratio made it an important asset on the rocky terrain of Iceland.

Specs:
Armor: Titanium/aluminum combination
Protection Suite: "Throne"
Engine: HW-HYE57P Hybrid Electric Engine
Power-to-weight ratio: 5-1
Max Speed: 80kph
Armament: 1x C56 12.7 HMG x1 LGM3 Predator ATGM
Crew: 2-3
Passengers: 7

Revised Predator turret
The "binoculars" are really the missile and projectile interception system, known as "Throne". The system is very useful for intercepting missiles and even the Russian tank rounds. This system can only be mounted on armored vehicles due to the explosions and fragmentation caused from the exploding munitions.

One of my main focuses of this build was functionality and playability- I feel that this epitomizes this quest with an almost TLG style group.

Cool APC! A very detailed build too. It seems you have put a lot of work into making the right solutions for the various features :-) A lot better than any of my builds!

Quoting Andrew Somers Very tasty build. Great job on the shape and the gun. The interior could use a bit of work, but perhaps that's just me. Anyway, great work.
I didnt know what to add to the interior, and my understanding is that the M113 is relatively bare inside (although it has some details which would be very hard to add in Lego form. Still, It is already much better than it was a week ago in terms of interior.
