Here's my collection of custom (but purist) minifigs, all based off of real people in history. Entered in Kaminoan's Fine Clonier Historical Minifig Contest 2007 (http://www.fineclonier.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=342). (My Paul Revere won 3rd place!) Where's Patton and Rommel?
Haha, good question, didn't have the right parts! Why don't you give it a try? |

Lovely figs, though one issue. In Greek, Achilles name would be (using the name of the Greek letters here): Capital Alpha - Chi - Iota - Lambda - Lambda - Eta - Ending Sigma.
Not: Delta - Latin letter (:P) - Capital Eta - capital Iota - Latin Letter - Latin Letter - Capital Sigma - Ending sigma. :P
Just saying. Cool figs anyway!
*goes back to look at Achilles* Oh, so I see...well it was just a cool font, I would by no means be capable of trouncing such an epic pwn as you just dealt me. ;-P Thanks for the comment, and sorry for the "inaccuracy"!

Dude! I think you got all my life-time heroes... and you depicted them in a fairly awesome way, too!
Haha, well thank you! I got many of mine as well. :-) |

Coolness! I was just surfing around when I spotted this. As a big history buff myself, I'm really pleased you made some of the lesser known, important people out there, all purist to boot (yay for purists!) Frankly, they're all fantastic. Great work!
Why thank you very much! I wanted to do some of the more obscure figures, yeah...some of them didn't come out so well, but it was a FUN exercise, that's for sure! |

Neat! My favorites would have to be King Henry VII and Martin Luther - both very recognizable! Great idea doing George Mendel, but since he was a monk, I doubt he would be wearing such an extravagant outfit. Still, great work on all of them!
Thank you! As to Mendel, I know, wasn't sure what else looked old enough (I thought robes would be too heavy-handed or it would just look like a Luther rip-off). So many of these are horribly inaccurate! |

Nice figs, but Copernicus doesn't look like the guy. On all paintings his hair is black and he has no mustache. Also, your Mendel does'nt really look like a monk. Overall, I like the figs. |

They are all great but you kinda messed up on Frederick the Great. He would have worn a blue coat not a red. With Alexander you shouldn't have used the armor piece. He wore a linnen cuirass not a metal one. But other then that they are all very good
Well, I see your point, but I suffered from a lack of proper pieces (no blue coats) and at others I know I wasn't all that accurate, which is near sin to me, but that's what ended up happening. ;-) Thanks for the comment! |

wow great work i love the alexander the great and julius ceaser (hope i speeled them right) but every single one great job!
LOL, thank you sir. :-) The only thing you misspelled was "ceaser" (it's "Caesar", kinda opposite what you'd expect), it's all good though. Any chance at seeing any MOCs from you? |

Is that it? Any more on the way? Just bustin'. Great work. But John Kerry, really? How about Ben Franklin instead?
LOL, haha...nope, this is it for now (as they're from 2007 as stated in the description).
And as to John Kerry...haha, I know, I can't stand him either. ;-P But that Ron Weasley head just screamed Kerry to me for so long, I just had to do it....perhaps it's just weaselly enough for the subject. :-D I didn't have the appropriate parts for Benjamin Franklin, although that would be awesome. Maybe I should do more some day.... |
