Fastlane and Cloudraker, G1 Autobot Clones
The great transformers clone experiment - Autobot Clones - Fastlane and Cloudraker
About this creation
Continuing my creative streak, I decided to experiment, the results: Autobot clones Fastlane and Cloudraker. I never had these toys as a kid so this is completely improvised from pictures. These guys were first seen in the Transformers Rebirth min-series I beleive they were also in Headmasters. The bots from head on look identical (duh! their clones). Like the G1 toys, in robot mode they can be told apart from the stuff on their backs ie, wheels and cockpits used for alt modes. My models do not transform exactly the same as the original toys but give you the feel of the original G1 figures. Cloudraker transforms into a Cybertronian jet, Fastlane transforms into a Cybertronian dragster. Both models are higly poseable. Hope you like this experiment. If I can find enough teal Lego I will make the decepticon clones down the road.

first on TV - last season of G1 Transformers episode called Rebirth which was a 5 parter (I beleive they are in the first couple of minutes of part one along with every other possible new toy hasbro made) the end of the original G1 Cartoon run!
Quoting Bailey Paradine I really enjoy these cute little guys, but what episode did they appear in? (Or comic book issue?)

yup I though about it while building these guys...maybe down the road.
Quoting Jervis Schindel So awesome! I thought about making these once. Can't wait to see the Decepticon clones. I got an idea for you, you should make Punch/Coutnerpunch, maybe? :)

Thanks! Glad you like them, check out my other T-formers too if you thought this was impressive!
Quoting Chuck da Vinci Wow wow wow...This exceeds everything beyond all expectations. Very impressive, etc. And I am amazed that you can create something like this: 1) accurate; 2) poseable; and 3) ACTUALLY TRANSFORMABLE!!! Awesomeness of this caliber has not been seen since Kelso's Invisible Hand!! I'm currently working on my own Transformer(not posted yet)--who's a helicopter, no less--but it's so very encouraging to see things like this, which are so far out of range of my pathetic ability to even dream of equaling! Most Sweet!

Very nice! I remember when these came out. I, too, never bought the official ones but always thought it was a cool idea. Great work as always. Watch for my CHIBI Transformers coming soon...
