About this creation
A Classic Space twist on an M.C. Escher masterpiece.

There are studs facing five directions in the whole thing, and this is probably clear, but the picture is actually on its side right now. That's how the original work is framed, and besides, it looks trippier this way.

Total build time: about 7 hours.

If you give the picture one clockwise turn, the floor from that angle is really the floor. That white spaceman in front of the door in the bottom right corner of the picture? He's actually doing a push-up on the floor.

Well, I meant more like Travis bricks, 1x4s with studs on the side, those sort of pieces. So you could create all the different angles.

Quoting Doctor Sushi Amazing. What was your most important piece in the construction of this?
Piece as in LEGO piece? The white bricks. I couldn't have done it without plain old white bricks.

Very VERY well done with this, one of the painters that has most inspired me to look at things in a way they would not normally be seen. Your perfect execution and imaginative way of communicating it has made me want to strive even harder for perfection in my models. Well done, and keep bricking:)

Just the building aspect of it alone is quite nice, but the concept (as is so often the case with you) puts it over the top. Love this one!

The fact that you still had some white tiles remaining poses the question of How many White Tiles do you have!? Oh and nice build by the way, It's like Art. You gotta crane your head in multiple directions to truly understand it. Great work.

This is absolutely incredible. I am a huge fan of Escher's work, and this really does it justice. I'd love to see more MOCs in this style.
