Arkham Asylum exteriors and various Gargoyles adorning the top, which holds many of the enemies of the Batman. These include fellows with big teeth and cyclops and hooting imp things, and the moc is inspired by years of building castle sets.

About this creation

This is the exterior of the Maximum Security wing of Arkham Asylum. The design of the set is modular, so cells are all removeable and interchangeable.

To address some of the questions people had about this set:
1) The set in these pictures are the exact same set depicted in the other folders (the interior and cells). If you see the picture where the modules are removed, that is where the nine cells I made go, three per wall and the fourth wall removed to allow the interior shots shown in the other folder.
2) None of this set was glued together. Ack, the very idea of doing that offends me! No, everything is held together by good old lego brick interlocking, just as nature intended... had nature the foresight to make everything lego-based, of course.
3) The height of the set is accentuated by the camera angles, basically because I wanted to get as much of the set in each shot as possible, and the exaggerated camera angles gave it an appropriate "Gotham look". The contour base holds it up very nicely and solidly.

The disused veranda on the other side of Arkham. The doorways from the stairwell and the storeroom have been boarded up. The stairwell was destroyed a few years ago in one of the Joker's successful escape attempts.

Shot down the side of Arkham. The heavy stone walls of the building were once covered with an attractive wood siding, but it has deteriorated over time.

Did you glue it? because I doubt it...it's not even necessary. for one, it probably looks bigger than it is due to camera angles, and secondly...those stubborn legos are pretty secure when you're using a long lane of studs, or if you go a few studs deep. So I don't think it would be that impossible, given the whole structure is straight up on the platform and not cascading outward or anything. Ultimately, it's the work of a really good engineer *winks to R.W.* But that being the case...how did Joker successfully escape such a secure structure?
