About this creation
Classic rockers, this is your chance for bonus points:
The main picture is similar in theme to the cover of what 1976 rock album?
So anyway, this was a creation I made a while back when I was taking a break from working on the award-winning A Day In The Life Of Mark A. Kelso. It was the product of the little spare time I had, not enough to work on anything big, but enough to put a few minutes into something small for a few days.

Here's the whole thing. (Now that's a lackluster sentence if there ever was one.) It was too long to get any detail while showing the full design. It's about a 1:3 ratio to the original guitar.

Okay, I admit it, I cheat. I only had three trans-orange studs. You got a problem with my mad editing skillz? I'm being honest (showing my unmotivation) by showing un-edited pics here. There were plans in the works for a whole bunch of technical gobbledygook that spelled out things (Phipson and the boys know all about that technique), in this case, the parts of the guitar, but I'm too lazy for that. I'm just posting this to get it out of the way since it's been on the virtual shelf too long.

The neck. It was a pain because the pieces insisted on curving and bending all over the place. This is one guitar you wouldn't want to play. I'd also intended to build a stand for it to dock in and a music cable for re-fueling. Time didn't allow.

The headstock. More un-editing. More parts I don't have enough of. More short sentences that start with 'more'. The technic bricks that hold the tuning keys are held in by friction. Don't bump it, or else the pilot will be angry with you for knocking them out.

The preferred mode of travel for intergalactic rock stars with credits to burn.

This presents something of a naming problem. Since the pilot's seat rotates a full 360 degrees, is it a flatship or a thinship? I split the difference and call it a flinship.

The base model.
While I'm here- Well, actually, while you're here, I'd like to take this time to make some updates to my current status. Since it's summer, I should have a decent amount of time for Lego, although I'm a little uninspired at the moment. In a month, though, I'll be off to college for the next four years. Which means almost no time at all for building with Lego. While this could be considered a "Dark Age", I don't think it will ever come down to me shoving the collection in the attic. Also, as noted on my homepage I don't really have the time to go returning the favor when people comment on my creations anymore, so that's just got to go. I'll just have to hire a PR board to do that kind of thing for me.

Boston. Self titled, first album. If you don't have it, get it! Nice build.~H
And I've got it! None of the younger people got it, which means you're almost as old as, um, my dad? |

Nice guitar ship. Did you purposely do Flatship instead of Flagship? That's a sweet design. You know, it's impossible to tell if someone figured it out without looking or not... |

Awesome build! Though I don't understand the hint. The Les Paul was first introduced in 1952. |

Cool! I swear I guessed the guitar at the start! Can I get the bonus points? Please? A YFOL in need, come on you can't reject me!
No, you don't get bonus points (but I'll still take a look at your stuff). While people figured out that it was a guitar, people haven't quite guessed exactly what I was referencing when I posted a guitar ship in space. David Stockholm is the closest: It does have something to do with music. Here's another hint- 1976. |

Nice and creative moc mate, as soon as I saw the pic I was like "Oh, giant flying space guitar, thats certainly new." I love all the work you put into this, and now you have me wanting to build one off of mine, its dark cherry red:D Also isn't that a Les Paul epiphone? those are NICE! |

Why does this remind me of Daft Punk? There was a music video where the lead flew in a giant flying guitar. If you want to see what I mean just look for the song "digital love" |

I thought it was a guitar although I had an unfair advantage because as it happens I own a Les Paul guitar. Nice moc - Liam |

Sweet looking guitar ship, and I agree with the whole no time for building thing, as I had almost no time to build this year between school, vacations, and life... Great job =) |
