This is my entry for The Clone Wars Conversations contest in this group:http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/10691 The diorama is based off of my memory of Star Wars Battlefront. Thanks for looking!
About this creation
Geonosis had a large diameter but light gravity and dense atmosphere. With a weak magnetic field, harsh solar radiation storms were common, and on occasion mass extinctions occurred. The most persistent surface organisms were humble red rock algae while the semi-insectoid Geonosians were driven underground. It consisted of a diminutive molten core with a rocky mantle forming a rocky, desert world subject to flash floods that carved great highland canyons. Water made up 5% of the surface.
During the time of the Geonosian rule, much of the planet's architecture was similar in appearance to termite mounds, consisting of domes and buildings built into caverns and rock spires. Therefore, one could easily mistake Geonosian buildings for natural formations and the planet uninhabited, a great asset during war.

The clones charge into battle!

Still charging!...

A clone heavy gunner, trying to destroy the tank with his, uh, heavy gun.

The heavy gunner again. He has dark blue markings like in Star Wars Battlefront.

A fallen clone. Don't worry, there's still a few million more.

Kind of a clone's view...

Ki-Adi-Mundi, leading the troops! Yes, in Star Wars Battlefront Mace Windu leads the troops, but Ki-Adi-Mundi also does in the Clone Wars. And I don't have $60 to buy Mace Windu...

Now the droids' side with the menacing Corporate Alliance Tank Droid!

A view from inside the...hanger? Cave? Secret hideout? Call it what you will.

The tanks view. I like this picture.

A dead Geonosian. Don't worry, nobody cares about native species. And they're ugly anyways.

The other Geonosian's view of the fray.

A magna guard. I've never seen them done this way before, and they're relatively easy to make; most pieces are found in the Assassin Droid Battle Pack.

Now, some aerial views! Here you can see the Geonosian again, flying over the blasts.

Here you can see another shot of the hanger-hideout-cave-thingy.
Thank you for watching. Hopefully this isn't late, and if it makes you feel any better, this has been built for a few months now :)
Credit for the Geonosian design goes to Rayce Gunnar. Check out his stuff!

Quoting Fero .
I love it! I hope you win! The base is good! And the terrain is fenominal! The only problem is maybe try adding tile's in the base rather than stud's so it stand's out not only in the color, but in apperance, studs not studs. 5/5! Love it!
Thanks! Haven't heard from you in a while! I actually used all my grey tiles in the base...unfortunately, I don't have as many as you :P |
