Hangar 5 - Home of the Star Slayer Squadron
Hangar 5 is the permanent home for the 51st and 54th tactical inter-solar system air wing, and occasionally plays host to other sister squadrons whenever their carriers make a port of call on the Arcturius planetary system.
About this creation

A group photo of the pilots of the ultra-secretive Star Slayer Squadron. Most have chosen to remain anonymous beneath their helmets...all except the showy Lt Briggs. Shortly after this stunt, he was unceremoniously transferred to the inter-solar system garbage freighter fleet...

Here we see the observation walkways separated from the main track by reinforced plexiglass. This passageway also serves to channel human traffic away from hazardous heavy vehicles and doubles up as a means to cordon and control entry via the security checkpoint.

Semi-opened blast doors reveal the inner red armour of the multi-layered shield. The door is rated to withstand a blast strong enough to knock out a class 5 interdiction field...however, the rest of the bunker may not be so tough. It might be comical to see a set of blast doors standing without the hangar after an orbital strike...

Security checkpoint with portable xray and ultra-proton scanner for added security. On the far left, we see documentary producer Alex P Shootre dispensing credits from a Universal Bank ATM prior to his filming of the propagandist filmlet on the official launch of the Raven TAF. Meanwhile, his assistant and camera man checks in the gear at the security counter, all while under the watchful eye of Fred the guard on the skywalk above.

An enthusiastic film crew starts snapping away with his camera gear at the Raven TAF...he'd always wanted to be a pilot. Besides, such photos would fetch a small fortune from fanboys all over the intergalactic web.

Test pilot Johnny ascends the stairs to execute his last minute pre-flight check routines. He will be taking Alex P Shootre on a demo flight into low Arcturian orbit and back, in order to demonstrate the trans-atmospheric prowess of the Raven.

Mobile decontamination unit for visitors and staff - you never know what "gifts" you carry over from the last galaxy...

Quoting Nicholaus-479 <<UNSC--Spartan<Sector-4<Squad-7<Tag-9 Nice man liked the decontamination unit and the blast doors. Is the raven from one of the space sets or is it original. Plus whats that spider thing with the yellow studs on it?
As for the aircraft, I built two of them myself, taking inspiration from vic vipers. You can see them both under "Raven" and "Scimitar" Trans Atmospheric Fighters.

Oh that...those 2 spidery things on top are flood lights..I noticed them while I was at the airport viewing gallery the other day and decided to put something like that in my MOC.
