Presenting the “Sapien” Adaptive Combat Suit—a small-scale bipedal utility frame built for the sole purpose of beginning the slow but calculated expansion of my comfort zone.
About this creation

For dealing with inclement weather, the Sapien has been fitted with four HID lights, a thermal-optical camera, and a windshield wiper—which ups the suit’s cuteness factor by 10% or so.

The suit is also equipped with an audio-interface system that actually “speaks” to the pilot and relays important tactical information. The pilot can choose between three sexy female accents—Australian, French, and Italian. There was also an option for a saucy English accent, but a software glitch in early development caused the erotic voice of Kate Beckinsale to deteriorate into the scruffy male intonation of an East-London hoodlum. The accent was scrapped as a fourth option all together because the resulting Cockney Rhyming Slang led to many battlefield casualties – most of the time, American pilots who had no clue what the hell was going on.

For example, the late Lieutenant Luke Leopold Lewis tragically died after his Sapien suit was attacked from behind by RPG-armed insurgents. The last thing heard over the comm-channel before he went down was reportedly his suit’s voice-relay system shouting, “'Ey! Take a captain at your pineapple fritter! Stop wastin' nickle and hit the tuppence, you bleedin two-foot, or we’ll be in a load o’barney!"
DAY-LATE EPILOGUE----------------
I'm sorry for embedding the images, but it had to be done. Normally, I can muster up the strength to watch my photos get punched in the face by the MOCpages uploader. Not here. No. Here, it crossed the line.

This is quite the interesting MOC here... So many clever techniques and loads of detail as well. Like several others, I cannot find antything to criticize on this build. Why should I anyway? It's awesome. Like you, I also would consider myself a Guerilla MOCer due to the fact I have a small collection and like to pack loads of detail into my little MOCs. |

Hey, that's no fair. I can't ridicule this in any way. It's actually good. That's not how our game was supposed to work, darn it. I expect a new MOC post from you in the next 5 minutes. If you take requests, I suggest an aircraft carrier for my planes. 20 parts or less.
I may just have to take you up on that challenge minus the time constraint. If you're looking for good fodder to critique, my sad little landscape doodles are like shooting ewoks in a barrel.

If you use the one-way hinges that you did for the arm joints, that would really reduce maneuverability. You would have to use more than one hinge, and that bulks up fast. Keep on brickin'!

Just like we imagine you all wear 10-gallon hats, eat half a cow every day and drive a car the size of Bolivia. Or is that just Texans?
Minus the hats, that's fairly accurate. And that's here in the north. South of the Mason-Dixon line is a whole new story, and Texas should be considered a different nation altogether. My truck is more Guatemalan in proportion, but it still dumps enough carbon into the air to be considered a fine American automobile.

"I'm certain that there were three times as many transgressions as that"
Pah, twas hardly a transgression! I actually like the less used variation of Pineapple. And I'm no cockney either, although a bit of slang creeps out into use across the country due to our fascination with London - until you've been there at least. We romanticise everything. So Cockneys are cheeky chappies, scousers and geordies are larger-than-life loveable rogues, everyone from Dorset sounds like a pirate, every yorkshireman wears a flat cap and owns a whippet, etc.... Just like we imagine you all wear 10-gallon hats, eat half a cow every day and drive a car the size of Bolivia. Or is that just Texans? |

Actually, I didn't build this as an addition to my theme (which I'm already tired of). Just getting the feel for the look of different colors as I continue my quest for world domin---LEGO creativity.
Haha - it's Cockney Rhyming Slang. It's a British lingo that arose from the old East-London thief guilds as a way of passing along coded messages. It usually uses the first word or two in a popular phase (or popular name) in which the second part of the name or phrase rhymes with the word you really mean. Easy, right? So for example: Above, I used "Barney" to mean "trouble" - Barney (goes with) Rubble (which rhymes with) trouble. That particular slang was actually used in Oceans Eleven.
*sigh* They need to invent a sarcasm icon...LOL Both questions were actually rhetorical, but your explanation of Cockney was downright lovely...LMAO Next, can you decipher Brad Pitt in 'Snatch'?~H |

Oh, and a more common parlence for 'pineapple' would be 'Gary' as in 'Glitter' or 'Council Gritter', but top marks for the slang mate - you confused a lot of people!
I'm certain that there were three times as many transgressions as that, and that you're just being nice. I've likely disgraced the whole great tradition that is Cockney. I blame my Yankiness. At any rate, I'm glad you appreciated it and were able to understand it--someday I will try to baffle even you--it will be a great success. |
