OK, The third round of the contest and my question was "if you were to design a new means of transportation, what would it be?" Well here it is. Enjoy and sorry no orders on the car until the year 2020.
About this creation
I love small compact cars but also the chunky styling of 4x4s/SUVs. So I combine the two styles together and then worked on the flying bit. It would of been silly to have wings popping out, and I remembered the car from "Back To Future" where its wheels folded up. So after a few headaches and sore thumbs my flying car was born.
On wanting to fly, you first have to activate the underfloor thrusters. This will lift the car off the ground a few feet, you then pull a couple of leavers and the wheels will fold away.
Don't worry you cannot activate the wheels to fold until the car is off the ground. Before this safety feature was installed, one of the test drives accidentally knocked the leaver to fold the wheels at 200mph on the test track. It was not a pretty sight. He destroyed 3 trees, a fence, killed 2 cows and landed in a lake. He was fine accept for his bruised ego.
After the wheels are fully folder it's up, up and away.

Those backgrounds you design are pure genius, it adds a lot to the MOC. Now, to judge! For creativity, I give you a score of 8 out of 10. This is because the flying car is an idea that has been around for a while. The reason I didn't give you a lower score is because no one has invented it yet, thereby opening an opportunity for many interpretations. For quality, I give you a 9 out of 10. This is due to the fact that you always put so much into your work, and it always comes out looking nice. Great job. It is my pleasure to judge such fine entries to the contest for best. Thank you. Final score of 17 out of 20. ~Waff |
