This is a great tank, and the fact that it has working tracks makes it even better! I built a T-34 as well, but I had a lot of trouble connecting the tracks, and even now they don't work very well. |

Great job. but question, I haven't seen a T-34 so I might be wrong, but aren't the hatches (on turret) back words? |

Really? I was searching for some good pictures on the net, but I couldn't find any that showed which wheels were the driving wheels, so I was guessing they would be the front wheels (like many tanks of that age). I guess that makes your model even more accurate than I thought it was!
BTW congrats on getting featured on the Brothers-Brick with the Stanislaw Skalski scene! |

Thanks Alldarker :o) But I don't think you're right - the rear wheel IS the driving wheel. The front one is just a tension wheel.

I had to laugh at Don J.'s comment about looking like Dan Siskind's T-34/85. The reason they are similar is because they are both near-perfect renditions of the same real-life vehicle. Any dissimularity would in fact be odd.
I am actually interested in the fact that Dan and you have used the wheelhub and the technic gear at the front and the back of the tracks in exactly opposite places (you have the gear wheel at the back with the wheelhub at the front, while Dan has exactly the same pieces the other way round). I think I can see the problem you both dealt with in different ways: the front wheel is the driving gear in the T-34 (as shown in Dan's model), but the rear wheel was in fact the larger of the two (as in your model). |

Quoting Don J.
sorry if im mistaken but it looks a lot like dan siskinds.
Hi. I think that the most similar is the wheel design. There are some other common ideas, but if you look more careful You'll see that most of the design differs from the Dan Siskind model. |

A nice depiction of the T-34/85. I'm just wondering, what are the minifigs favorite colors? I'd bet it's Red xD (Couldn't resist a communist joke :3) Anyways it's a really nice job, keep up the good work. |
