The Rusty Mustang
A light freighter, the Rusty Mustang has been owned and operated by Captain James Montgomery for the past 32 years. It's never made him rich but it hasn't landed him in the poor house either. Four double-barreled laser cannons and a torpedo launcher protect the crew on their transport missions. Besides the cockpit and the cargo hold, she has a six-bed bunk room, a restroom with shower, engine room and a commons area with kitchen. Two escape pods seat four each and can be accessed through the door in the commons area. She's made of more than 6000 pieces and measures 33 inches long, 19 inches wide and 11 inches tall. Very impressive! I like how the interior is just as detailed as the outside!

You should add brown plates to make it really rusty..... any way a good build and good choice of name!

This is a really nice looking ship. The color scheme really highlights the ship. Again I love all the detail.

I like the random blue accents, and putting that big windscreen sideways is a great idea. Using plates to create most of the hull is always a good way to get big shapes, but it's left the interior a little open and incomplete feeling. If you ever do more work on this, I'd suggest making the angled sections on each side into their own engine compartments. Or maybe you could move the sleeping quarters and the bathroom into those sections to give you a ton of space for cargo. Either way its got a good theme and feel to it, good job!

Quoting 17 - Chief Andreas Lendeckel The interior and the hull design is brilliant. A bit like "Firefly".
Thanks Chief! Firefly was a big influence on my initial design. And it's also a great show.

Thanks for the kind words. This was my first large mini-fig scaled ship. I learned a lot in the process and am currently working on my next one. It'll be much larger and it's the Rusty Mustang's main competitor in the freight transport business.

Must say, I like this. Name fits the ship and it has a nice story to go along with it.

Got to like this, would make a great alternative to my AMIST, I could just see this in the same universe! Sweet build man, love the story, interior, and just sheer gutsyness of it.

Wow, this is very nice work. Keep it up. The engines need a little bit more work though. But I love how the cockpit and loading ramp work.

It looks very nice. I particularly like the corridor to get out of the ship. But, as Marc wrote, it would be nice to have more interior pictures, in particular of the bridge...

Man, this is a huge and beautiful beast you´ve set up here. The interior looks awesome, but you could have posted some more interior pics, like e.g. the bridge and all the other things that you´ve announced in the introduction. (Restroom, engineering, escape pods and so on.) Anyways, I like it for its massive look and the features you´ve added. Great work, but more pics would be nice! ~Cheers, Marc.
