As you can see, she is 99% completed, but still without a stand.

okay, best looking starship in bricks that I've ever seen. I personally think the digital model is just as impressive. So here's a thought, build the new Enterprise, from the 2009 show, with the nearly impossibly supported nacelles, and simulate an aluminum support holding together the interior, digitally in LDD. What do you think? It may be a future project of mine, just because of how hard it would be to actually build that new ship out of real bricks. Chris |

Thanks, Iīm honoured! Quite an ambitious project you have there! As if the old movie Enterprise wasnīt difficult enough to recreate, since there are more organic curves on it than I thought. She already gives me headaches... |

Quoting El Barto !
Does your neighbor have any clue about the mad scientist/ AFOL next door? He must be suspecting something, because of all these rattling boxes that arrive. But, he never said a word. Hmm, he must fear that could pull the trigger of my brick nuke and turn the whole world into plastic! |

Alright guys, just today (September, 15th, 2010) Iīve received the last parts needed for my holy cow. A neighbour received the package and placed it in front of my flatīs door. As returned from work at night, I immediately started completing the ship and the stand. Now, I have this nice baby standing on my shelf and a biiiiig smile on my face. Canīt wait to take the photos!

wow hw muce parts you have dude this look like giant ship ho sorry it is a giant ship lol
Thaks a lot for the comment! Well, this huge baby consumed 3800 parts, according to MLCAD. Not included are some parts, that had to be added afterwards, for stabilzing some wobbly sections of the saucer. Let there be around 10, I forgot to count the exact number. There is also still a display stand to come with 385 parts! Sounds a lot for a display, but, since this baby is heavy as heII, I wanted it to be as sturdy as possible. That makes altogether 4195 parts. To be honest, I didnīt posess so many parts, so I had to buy them. Without shipping costs, ~450,00 uro had to be invested! Man, was I hungry that month! ;-) The size is ---> height: 20 cm ; width: 34,5 cm and length 97 cm!! |
