Griffin
A one man mecha.
About this creation
Part of the Rapid Anti-Insectoid Defence, the Griffin is the standard one-man mecha.

Pilots have been known to form unusual attachments to their Griffins, enjoying stomping around the vicinity of R.A.I.D. bases refusing to leave their mecha even to eat or sleep.

To cater for the pilots several Stomp-Thru burger joints have sprung up around these bases. The R.A.I.D. hierarchy are known to frown on these establishments.

Built:2003
Current Status Dismantled.

I wish I'd taken a few more photo's of this, though the legs are far too spindly I still think the rear shot of this mecha has not been surpassed by any mecha I've built since!

I built the cockpit for a spacecraft but couldn't get it to work, it was only as I kept trying that the mecha aspect came together.

Not bad for my first mecha really.

Here you can really see the legs don't look strong enough. Though as a rebuttal I could point out how spindly modern jet-fighter landing gear looks!

My favourite shot! Look at all the greebly goodness! If only I could get every model to look this mechanical!

Close up shot, here you can see the printed bricks that led to the name.

The cockpit opens too, but only to buy burgers. Once you've got one of these babys why would you ever get out?
