The evil wizard Harold has terrorized the kingdom of Carrith Knorr
for many long years. High atop his foci tower, Harold plots the demise of our heroes.
Pop quiz kids, where does the bad guy live?
A group of heroes, assembled by the prince of Carrith Knorr, advances on the evil stronghold.
But their battle against the forces of evil will not be an easy one. Hordes of the undead march to defend the tower of Harold.
And just what the heck is that THING coming out of the front gate? I thought Phipson’s ex wife moved?
Let’s meet our brave (and soon to be eaten) heroes. Adam, Prince of Eternia and keeper of the secrets of Castle Graysk… wait, wrong story. But yeah, his name is Adam.
Joel, the Dwarf. He may be short but never underestimate his drinking… I mean battle prowess.
Sindy, the strip… ummm, Ranger. You know all those times when they ask “Who do you have to sleep with to get that job?” Well, she found out. Again and again and again…
This is Sue, the pirate. Yes he has a girl’s name, you got a problem with that?
Legolad, the elf. You get three guesses where I stole this name from and the first two don’t count.
And this is the ninja, Carl. He got his ninja degree online for 29.99! We’ll call him “appetizer” from this point on shall we?
Will our heroes be able to overthrow the evil wizard or will they end up rotting in whatever that tentacle thing coming out of the tower has for a mouth? You decide!
Fourth wall commentary: Yeah… I’m not too happy with it either. I built the tower and then wanted a background to go with it. I tried a few things for lava and wasn’t really too thrilled with what I had. I took this outside to take some pics to share with friends as WIP pics. I was able to take a few and then… disaster struck.
When you live in the “windy city” be careful that your background doesn’t catch the wind and knock your tower over…
Yeap, it’s gone. I wasn’t going to post this but I’m also not going to go back and rebuild it. Just chalk it up to stupidity on my part and move on to the next project. I figured the humor in this can make up for some of the discrepancies in the build… maybe. I promise the next one will be better.
As a former Dungeons and Dragons player and DM, it's always best to be prepared for your players to do something ridiculous. I used to just top their ridiculousness with something worse - so suggest that the heroes stumbled across a magic WMD which they set off, wrecking poor Harold's tower (I always sympathise with villains) then fleeing with the magic trinket they came for. This gives you carte blanche to create a new even more evil home for Harold AND generate a reason for him to want to smite your heroes in a series of increasingly more dangerous and unlikely encounters. Let the chaos ensue!
Wow, that's EXCELLENT !
Nice idea and story, but what catches my eye most is the lava - you've got it just right, very realistic even at a small distance !

Hey Chris i already wrote about this in mocpages help and the mocolympics, but i don't know if you saw, anyways i'm having trouble uploading pictures, therefore i can't post my entry to the mocolympics, unless this is solved, Mister Bones said if we can't post on Mocpages, then Flick would be fine, thanks, and awesome build~Nick

Lord of the Rings! Legolad was genius! Oh, here is a group that you need to participate in. http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/13120
You'll know the name of the person(s) we're talking about. All thanks to Nick Shelton. Again.

That evil wizard looks like Kelso
Wait, if it is, where's his evil sidekick Porkchop the pig who will eventually overthrow him!!!??? Hmm
Nice tower and an even better firery horde. There are many times I wish I had a firely moat around my house. Perfect place to for annoying visitors and pesky neighborhood pets. I'm just kidding we'd BBQ the pets in the moat. Sad to see your huge tower broken in two. Harold is only haf the man now. see ya. garth
Well, its a nice one anyways, kinda remindes the Tower of Cirith Ungol from LOTR, but your probably crazy sick and tired of earing that...
You know why it fell? Brikthulhu always takes his chance on the living with freshly built MOCs ready for photo session, and the sound you heard of a million pieces falling down your tower, was his laughter and pleasure on your pain...
Quoting Chris Phipson:
Yeah… I’m not too happy with it either.
What are you talking about?! This is a great tower! The lava flow and minifig placements are exceptional. Would you mind checking out this mech for me? I need some advice for V2. Here's the link: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/218608. Keep on brickin'!
Awww maaaan. Hate it when that happens. It's a good thing you managed to get some photos before it collapsed. I love your team and the lava. And the tower? It reminds me a bit of my olympics entry from last year :)
The lava flow looks wicked!!! Great use of the red background, really brings the black base and the characters to life somehow... must remember that. We have a windy city in NZ too, Wellington. I wouldn't dare take a lego tower outside in Wellington... great build, I like the obvious kick in the face contrast between the white "goodies" castle and... this one.
Wow.....awesome magma effects....it makes the whole thing seem real. Lol, mkay my three guesses for legolads name...the fellowship of the ring, the two towers annddd....starwars...no....wait....the return of the king. Do I win a prize...8P lol jk, Anywho awsome moc, great detail, and sweet strip-...I mean ranger....
BTW...did you read my comment for your..."kelsos wet dream"...moc?
