An alternate MOC made from sets 4888 Ocean Odyssey and 7702 Thunder Fury. I was staying at my parents while they were on holiday and couldn't take all of my LEGO, so I took my new Ocean Odyssey set, after a few MOCs I wanted to expand the range of pieces a little and went out and bought one of the, then new, Exoforce 7702 Thunder Fury sets. To these I added a mini-fig, I just like building things with a pilot!

When The Re-Start was complete I also built a remote companion robot that looks a bit like a kangaroo with the pieces left over.

Built: 2006
Current Status: Dissembled.

Weak ankles? Who has weak ankles?

The three parts of the MOC!

   The main mecha.

   Looking cool.

   Shake yow thang!

Does my butt look big in this?

Once again it looks better from the rear - what is it with my mecha building that does this?

   Curly ammo feeds rule.

Open cockpit. Help! Get me down!

Now here's the cool bit. Look it's just a mecha with an over sized body...

What's that flap at the back doing?

   Where's that pilot going?

He's going home. To get a new set of legs and weapons!

The empty husk. Equipment is far easier to replace then good pilots!

   Escape pod.

   And from the rear.

The husk can also be fitted with a rocket-launcher. (Though the MOC is prone to overbalancing with it on.)

I figured the aerials on the normal husk allowed it to sty in contact with this: The Darko bot.

It's another development of the guard-dog bot (see my Ruffian mecha) that can patrol with a mecha and be used to patrol ahead, cover the retreat or be sent on 'suicide' attacks.

Great concept and a really good looking mech unit for being from two sets. Keep it up Mark!

Cool mech, and excellent use of pieces from both sets.
