My School Project
Creations that I made at my school!
About this creation
As the name suggests, these creations are made at my school! That's right, I have been so lucky to be able to do one of my favorite hobbies at my Art and Design class! The final verdict of this project: A

Red Scorpion

The Red Scorpion is my first creation in this project and I am very pleased with the results. This creation is made ONLY of black and red 2 x 2 bricks, which was a big challenge as I have never done something like this before. I did not count, but I believe that I used approximately 700 red bricks and 500 black bricks.

Total time of making: 3 hours (one and a half day)

The Bird and the Eggplant

I got really pleased with these creations, especially the bird. The head got a little bit small, but it just expands the mightiness of this creation! :P The eggplant turned up well overall, but the sides of it was a little weird. The eggplant is made of actual dark purple bricks, it was not colored in Photoshop.

Total time of making the bird: 2 hours (one day)
Total time of making the eggplant: 45 minutes (a half day)

Small Blue Fish

This was a fun creation to make. It didn't take a lot of time, but I were very pleased with the results. The only thing that could have been improved were the eyes, but at the time I didn't have that much of the smaller pieces I needed to make them more detailed.

Total time of making: 45 minutes (a half day)

Big Blue Fish

This is my biggest creation in this project and I barely had enough blue pieces left when I was done. This is one of my favorites in this project, probably because of the successful shaping and the details in it.

Total time of making: 3 hours (one and a half day)

Red Telephone Box

A Red Telephone Box inspired by the famous telephone-boxes in London. I really like how this creation turned out and it was a rare opportunity to use my transparent lego pieces in a creation.

Total time of making: 1 and a half hour (one day)

Blue Shoe

A very fun creation do make and I did it pretty fast. The shoelaces were pretty hard to figure out how to make, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Total time of making: 1 hour (half a day)

Hot Dog

One of the smaller creations I made. It turned out pretty good, but the bread was a little bit too angular.

Total time of making: 45 minutes (half a day)

Snake

One of my favorite creations in this project. I really liked how the shape of this snake turned out, and the pattern is a nice touch.

Total time of making: 1 and a half hour (one day)

Traffic Signs

I was very pleased with these creations, especially the STOP-sign. It was fun to make the letters in LEGO and I think it turned out well. The only thing that I could have improved was to making the STOP-sign more circular, but I ran out of pieces.

Total time of making: 2 hours (one day)

Butterfly

This one turned out well. I was very pleased with the how the colors turned out.

Total time of making: 1 and a half hour (one day)

Flying Parrot

My final creation is also one of my favorites. I was very pleased with the patterns on the wings and the shaping of the head.

Total time of making: 2 hours (one day)

That hot dog reminded me of the Simpsons episode where the family visits "Blocko-Land" and Homer makes an apple out of ham blocks. Love it.

I agree with Mike. Wonderful creations. I'd wish I had had a school that allowed such projects!

Wonderful sculptures and it truly is a great representation of building anything with the LEGO brick as long as you put your mind to it.

I am really impressed by your style. How you manage to capture so many details and shapes with only basic system bricks! Great shapes on the scorpion (my school mascot) , gnarly cardinal and eggplant, and wicked fishes. I really like the parrot too, yours looks beautiful. Props for your clean photography too.

You've got a great collection of builds here! The snake is really eye-catching, and I see why you put that as the main pic. Nice work!
