Durin I. , the Deathless, father of the dwarves
Durin was the oldest of the seven dwarven fathers. He woke up in the years of the trees . First he walked alone in the wild. Then he built the halls of Khazad - Dum. He died at the end of the first Age.
About this creation

The world was young, the mountains green,
No stain yet on the Moon was seen,
No words were laid on stream or stone,
When Durin woke and walked alone.
He named the nameless hills and dells;
He drank from yet untasted wells;
He stooped and looked in Mirrormere,
And saw a crown of stars appear,
As gems upon a silver thread,
Above the shadow of his head.
The world was fair, the mountains tall,
In Elder Days before the fall
Of mighty Kings in Nargothrond
And Gondolin, who now beyond
The Western Seas have passed away:
The world was fair in Durin's Day.

A king he was on carven throne
In many-pillared halls of stone
With golden roof and silver floor,
And runes of power upon the door.
The light of sun and star and moon
In shining lamps of crystal hewn
Undimmed by cloud or shade of night
There shown forever far and bright.

Amazing! ... it's hard to find suitable words ... simply the best you've done so far, besides you're a true master of "Lord of the Rings"

Great! I especially like the hall in the backround. Also, it's great to see other knowledgeable Tolkien fans that know so much about The First Age, and of the Valar and the Maiar. Also, wasn't it a balrog of Melkor (or Morgoth) who killed Durin at the fall of Moria, end of The First Age?

Thanks for the comment! Itīs nice that I know other LOTR fans with much knowledge! PS: Yes, youīre right, Durin was killed by a balrog, but it was Durin VI.

Quoting Thomas . So good to see someone who know alot about Tolkien's books :) Very nice custom Durin! You forgot to write about that Aule created dwarves' fathers, not Iluvatar, who made elves and men, but I'm not sure that anyone know about Valars and Eru. Anyway, you're very good LoTR builder ;D P S From what book is that poem?
