Well, folks, the time has finally arrived. Tomorrow I'm off to college and I'll be leaving my LEGO behind. I'll be doing some LDraw/LDD models from here on out, as my actual LEGO time is now cut to whatever breaks and vacations I have. So, at the very least, I won't disappear from MOCpages, but you won't see any more MAS units from me for a while.
However, I don't want to just leave it at that. I thought I'd share with you what all I've been working on and what to expect from me in the far future.
This is the beginnings of MAS2-001 Izanagi.ZX. Originally, I was building a super robot called "Novaeon" but I scrapped the idea. The lower and upper halves were mismatched and never looked right together. The upper half has since been demolished and put to use for another model.
The beginnings of MAS2-002 Izanami.ZX.
MAS-AT-001 Kuragari.ZX. Originally, this unit was MAS-003 but it was decided this unit would be controlled by a combat AI and thus was rechristened MAS-AT-001 (Mobile Armor System Autonomous Type unit 001). I'm thinking about retconning the naming convention and having this unit be MAS-003 again. Mikana.ZX would then become MAS-005 (MAS-004 would be the as of yet unbuilt MAS-AT-002)
This unit has unfinished legs and no feet, so I'm keeping it separated in half.
The beginnings of MAS-002 Crimson.ZX, if you can call it a beginnings. It's just feet XD
The E-Mag Sword and E-Mag Lancer. Originally Novaeon's Novaeon Blade and Solar Lancer, now they are weapons for the Izanagi and Izanami.
Something I made and still messing with. I guess it's some sort of micro-scale ship.
Sig-fig me partying with Hikaru, Ha-ya-to (who snuck into this canon because he likes mechs), and an unidentified pilot. I bet Sig-Keith is probably gonna try sneaking into Hub's cockpit, not that he could actually pilot it.
Even though I can't bring my LEGO with me, I won't leave it behind. This necklace is coming with me to college as a reminder that I'm an eternal AFoL and to never forget my LEGO.
What can I say? I'm a little sad that I have to leave my MAS units at home. Home is only an hour away but still... being separated from the things I take the most pride in is saddening...
Oh, and before I forget, there's something else I want to say and reveal:
Beyond LEGO, my greatest passion is programming. On my free time, I am going to be learning how to create games on the PC. My first project: a Super Robot Wars style game starring my MAS units, the NEHCM units, and some other mechs that are still under wraps. I don't know how long it's going to take me to make this game but I'm going to keep at it for as long as I have to.
Also, I've started a second, personal blog where I will post about various other gaming, programming, LEGO, and miscellaneous stuffs. I actually dabble a bit in making games for the TI-83+ and TI-84+ graphing calculators so you'll see posts related to those there as well. Note: still working on polishing up this blog so the design might change at random. I'll start posting to it soon.
Well... that's about it. If I think of anything else, I'll just add a comment about it.
