This is Smaug the Golden. He was very intelligent and nearly invulnerable. When he was younger, he came from his home ( the Withred Heath ) to the Lonly Mountain. Not many dwarves survived his attack ( Thror, Thorin, Balin....)Then he collected treasures and slept for a long time...BUT: 2941 of the Third Age Bilbo stole one of the treasures. Smaug became very angry and wanted to kill the hobbit... but he couldnīt see the thief(because of the Ring, Bilbo found in Gollums hole) but he noticed that Bilbo came again and talked to Beutlin(although he couldīt see him)Bilbo said, he came from Lake-town.So Smaug began to destroy the town, but Bilbo had noticed a nacked spot and talked with Bard, who killed Smaug with the magic Black arrow.
Nice! Really looks nice! Now, Michael, I appreciate your invite to the Fellowship of the Brick, however, my building style and interests don't quite line up with the group. Thank you for the invite, it really does mean a lot! But I feel I would not be a the best for the group. Once again, I appreciate the offer, but I must decline.
This is spectacular! I love all your LOTR Creations, and this is your best one. The photoshop job to add the gold-fire background was just icing on the cake! This is seriously your best work! 5/5!
PS: Have you seen my LOTR Balin's Tomb yet?

If only they knew that the ring was evil... Dragon's fire can destroy it, as it is born of Melkor, like Mt. Doom.
Dragon's fire can destroy the rings, but not the master-ring, if we can bank on Gandalf's words. But I think you might be right.... and Smaug, the biggest and mightiest of the Dragons of his time was able to do it, because in the time of Gandalf's words, he was dead....
Really awesome job on this! The size and detail is excellent. I agree with the earlier assessment of the eye. It looks fine as is, but should be different if you want a meaner look. Keep up the great work!
Great job! Increasing the number of picutres to show more detail has done great things for your work! Putting the dragon next to your dog and eating the "lego standard" dragon really helped to show how big the MOC is! Also really liked how you showed bilbo at the end. Would you ever consider building smaugs chamber? (Maybe with a smaller smaug...lol) again great job and by far your best shown work I've seen.---PT
First off I would like to thank you for that comment. Second, this is EXCELLENT! It has loads of details and other sweet things! And to answer your question, that was actually from an Indiana Jones set.

Nicely done, I like how you did the background, that's one huge Smaug, I think its eyes look too friendly, I love this character, good job
Thanks for your comments! First I looked for a copyright free picture of a hall of pillars and gold at google! then I reduced it to one layer and changed the atmosphere with photoshop and added special effects!
Whoah, cool! I like the first picture, too! BTW I see you have a buddy icon showing a Lego minifig mask, you may not know what I'm talking about, but were you ever at a party for a videogame made by UFG called Modnation Racers?
Well done indeed, this is the best Smaug I have ever seen! Just one suggestion though, keep improving the wings, possibly even going brickbuilt, and make custom eyes rather then the printed ones. Preferably in red or green. Then it will be simply perfect:D
WOOOOOW! "WoW" should be 100x longer, because I'm really impressed! Your Smaug is huge, has jewels and deserve 50 or more smiles! You're so good in LoTR creations, 10/5 :D Sugestion - make diorama of burning Laketown with this awesome Smaug ;)
