This is the Military production model of my A-29 Mako. The ship has been renamed to avoid any confusion with another spacecraft called the Mako. Isurus is the Latin name of the Mako Shark.

It is equiped with six air to air (space to space) missiles, with the option of adding up to four more. There is a 1200 rounds a second anti-tank/anti-mecha Vulcan-II gattling gun in the nose. The gun can only be fired in 3 second bursts or the Isurus will stall!

It's amazing how a slight rebuild and colour change can improve a MOC!

Built: August 2006
Current Status: intact.

I'm not sure the gattling improves the looks of the ship, but it does look more threatening!

The colours are inspired by the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

It's my first ship using both 'new' greys (or bleys if you prefer) I actually like the look of it.

Though I have to admit I miss old dark grey a lot!

I made the rear wings more pointy and threatening in this version.

I also brought in round engines.

They make the underside look a lot better then the 'Mako' test plane.

It still looks enough like a shark to justify the name though!

   Flying overhead!

   This catch lifts up first.

   Then the canopy can open.

Nice roomy cockpit. You could bring your pets along... maybe not.

I rebuilt the landing gear too.

This is so much more stable!

Comparrison with the original. It looks so much better!

One of the most military-looking fighters I've seen. The only problem with it is the engines -- they need to be bigger and easier to see, I mistook the ones on the model for bombs or fuel pods.

I'm giving this five smileys not only because it is way rocking, but also for the nifty snot work in the new grays. And yes, I agree with you: those grays DO add a different twist to an MOC.

this is really good. but i feel sorry for old grey that even the builders at home are phasing them out. RIP

damn! stop unleashing great MOCs everyday;) leave room for others:p no seriously this is a very good MOC i think i had reviewed or seen the previous version which was also very good... But the ideal would be a Dark grey and red/orange color scheme;)...so basicaly a mix between the 2 versions

I think the underside, rear fin curves and aft wings are solid improvements over the original, but the vulcan cannon, while it is more threatening, makes it look less sleek. It looks like it was just tacked on without thinking about where the inner workings (like the rest of the length of the barrels and ammunition stores) would go.

Well this is cool. Good job on the cockpit. I like the canopy.
