Roaming the borders of ArcheoGenis space, a huge but oddly familiar figure approaches! The JCSSD, a new asset for AG and its allies!
About this creation
The Jesus Christ is a Super Star Destroyer designed for public relations and border patrolling.

Being almost 20 times the size of a standard ArcheoGenis Star Destroyer, the Jesus Christ's appearance alone is often enough to impress the locals or discourage trspassers in AG controlled areas.

His main weapons are the Woven Hindering Innocuous Paralizer, a flexible ion-charged whip mainly used to repel merchant ships and other unarmed vessels, and the gigantic INRI cannon.

The Interplanetary Neutron Repeating Infringer is a super disruptor capable of dispatching capital ships with a single blow. Due to its quadruple accumulator and barrel, it can fire at the impressive rate of 1 shot per 90 seconds.

The trasversal bars of the INRI cannon gather cosmic radiation to overload the beams, using the new AG technological breakthrough described further on.
A few dozen superficial shots are enough to make a planet uninhabitable, and a deep, concentrated attack inside the lower mantle can even get to destroy it (although firing the 4 barrels together is likely to ruin the INRI).

Other weapons include smaller turrets to deal with closing-in fighters and versatile launching pods that can either be loaded with capital warheads, fighters or drones.

The Jesus Christ also displays an extensive shield array, capable of dealing with most of the traditional space weaponry.

The aft section cotnains the main bridge (encased in a Mio-Corp's StarGlass dome), the engines, the main sensor array and the newest AG discovery: The Entropic Generator.

As you know, a graet deal of the universe's energy is wated in useless background radiation and dispersed heat. ArcheoGenis created a relative-negativity field that ctually draws tis "lost" energy to feed its ships' Brain Cores.
This makes newly-designed AG ships almost self-sufficient.

This device leaves little room for a proper Perception Drive, so the JCSSD must rely on a simpler Psi-Drive. It's sufficient for additional protection, gravity, teleport and for creating food and water and heal the sick.

Additional thrusters give the ship a more than decent maneuvrability, for its class.
The Jesus Christ Super Star Destroyer is currently the largest AG space craft, although the Galamoth Admin Carrier is still the flagship.

Bonus
Standard ArcheoGenis Bio Star Destroyers. These ships are of recent design, a well armed regenerating ship coated in Bionite. (For scaling reasons, I made each with only 5 pieces!)

DISCLAIMER: This MOC was NOT inspired by the historical figure by the same name, but rather by his fictional counterpart, featured in many works.
As I mentioned, this was inspired by a silly play on words between Jesus Christ Superstar and a Star Destroyer.
I put links here because there's a lot of people who couldn't get it on their own.
Hope you enjoied your visit.
Have at it!

Dear Justin, I'm not sure if you get it or not, but this MOC does not offend "you" if by that you mean MOCpages' CFOL community. Many christians commented here and most didn't have any problem with it. You should speak for yourself and simply say "this offends me", if that's the case. |

I know I commented on this creation before, by almost looking down on it and being "disgusted" with it. I looked at it again from your POV, and I must admit, It is a cool MOC. Sorry for any trouble I may have caused in the past with this, but you know, everyone has their own beliefs, and their own different views on this. Love the MOC, but the idea of it... ehh, not my style, but It is yours, and I respect you for that. - Pedro |

I did comment on this before saying it is a good build, I am a christian, and I think it is very creative; I do like it. I take no offense whatsoever, and sure, a lot of CFOL's are overreacting, but most of your responses have been a bit mocking towards them and/or their beliefs. I'm not here to preach or reprimand, but if you could just practice a little more respect towards others that would be appreciated, and if not, well, not much I can do about it. Oh, and I still love your builds, I guess I'm sorry there have been a few Christians reacting like they did.
Don't get me wrong, I have no intention of offending any Christian, but as you can see here, I get a lot of comments from fake christians, which you can identify by their being aggressive and intolerant, and generally as unchristian as you can get in this environment . I have no regards for them :) |

This is somewhat disgusting to put a biblical figure, and represent him in a harsh way. Like come on? A whip as a weapon? Let alone, he got flogged and died from that very weapon? This MOC had no point to it... If you want to somewhat "insult" the christian faith, do it somewhere else, not in a lego creation.
You don't know your own holy books http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+2%3A13-25&version=NIV and you display none of the principles of tolerance you should inherently uphold by defining yourself a Christian. Seriously, if anything has no point here, it's this comment. |

Ah, if only this MOTD had come before the MOCies... Well, that aside I don't think people actually find the JCSSD itself offensive, I simply think they can't forgive me for seeing Christianism just as any other religion, mythology or fiction. It's sad really, because if it's true that all it takes for myth to become a cult is the people's faith, the lack of it never prevented me from appreciating the cultural richness of every religion, and to deeply respect those who can manage to both have faith and still keep an open mind. |

It's a good build no denying. I'm a Christian, and the build itself really didn't offend me, although I don't really agree with the way you responded to a few of the CFOLs. Then there are a few comments that others have made, but you have no control over that. Things like this, especially online, tend to spark some debate; whether or not that was your intention I haven't the slightest. Anyhow, good techniques used, pretty creative, and overall, a nice build. |

Congrats on MOTD! While I'm a Catholic, I don't find the MOC particularly offensive. I can see how this is like making a Zeus Super Star Destroyer to you, except that lacks the clever wordplay. The one difference to me between the two, apart from my faith (I belive that the Lord can take a harmless joke) is the weaponry on the ship. It kind of goes against the non-violent image of Jesus. Whether you take the Bible verses as truth or myth, Jesus wasn't violent. Perhaps you could have offended less people by making it an unarmed, diplomatic vessel. |

Hey man, I'll say straight on that this is an Awesome Moc. The idea is very original and the idea of enemy repelling weapons instead of destructive weapons is great! The detail is awesome as well (My favorite part has to be the back of the ship). It was also quite entertaining (And sad) to see what people had to say in the comments below, and laughed a lot at most of the people who were against this, who couldn't understand that the person being used wasn't the Historical Jesus Christ. Good luck trying to fend off more of these guys! Now that this creation is Moc of the Day, you know that more people are going to be commenting about how they're so offended by this because they're Christian (I mean, come on. I'm a Christian, and I'm not offended in the slightest by this). |

I'm not trying to be another annoying complainer, but I'll admit that I do find it a bit offensive (being a CFOL myself). I think that it would be a good idea to make another ship like this, but with another famous figurehead (such as Buddha), so as to show your harmless intent. Also, I personally do not get the joke, and if you would be kind enough to inform me, i would greatly appreciate it.
Many of my other MOCs in the same folder as this one already have names inspired by other religions, videogames or other fiction. If like it seems you're familiar with Star Wars, you might remember the Executor Super Star Destroyer, and if you're a christian you might be familiar with the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. That was the play on words that inspired this MOC. Also, you might find other amusing references like the fact that it uses a W.H.I.P. to cast out merchants from the "Temple Sector", or the main weapon being called the "INRI" cannon. I deliberately used blue eyes on its "face" to point out that this was not inspired by the actual historical figure of Jesus (a man with middle-eastern traits) but rather by his numerous fictional counterparts. I hope this answers your questions, that were legitimate and asked very politely (and that's why I tried to give you an exaustive answer). |

It's a border patroll ship mainlt made for keeping the peace, while I have seen somethings before that were dispectfull, this isn't one of them.Look at it this way,if a real starship were to be made and named this,I don't think it would be percieved as a mockery, but a tribute.I think overall it has to do with the intent, which I am certain was good and harmless.Though it doesn't supprise me in the least that this is so controvesial,as it can be a touchy thing. That's my opinion,BTW it looks built well Yuri :P . |

First impulse is not to like it, based on religious reasons. However, you are quite right, we are told in the prophecies that he will not be in form or stature that we should adore his physical features, but love him for his Godliness. Like you said, though, this is Lego; not a debate. Kinda reminds me of that statue in South America, placed to keep peace in the region. |

So be it. I challenge you, Yuri Fassio, to a MOC-off. Theme will be gangsters (due to your Mafia movie smack), rules are that the creations are built according to LEGO purist standards (stickers are allowed) and include links to the other person's MOC. Deadline will be the end of the week, the last elligible date is the 19th.
And suppose that for some freakish reason this week I have other deadlines, projects and real life to deal with? |

Man, this is the greatest of all the ideas you had so far... The black part of the destroyer needs some work, however... And I don't know what's funniest: the title (it appears only as "Jesus Christ Super Star..." in some pages), the MOC itself or you replies on the comment section... I never understood why people like Jesus, God, Alah or wathever to have no sense of humor... It doesn't fit the "divine perfection" thing... |

@Yuri- Well, the cross, the crown of thorns, the old ragged look. And you said that the fictional figure is in other MOCs?
I said the fictional figure is in other WORKS. Like books, movies, musicals, comics, etc. The historical figure of Jesus was obviously quite different. Think about the fact that EVEN in the new teastament, when Romans get to Gethsamane to arrest him, they need to ask Judas for pointers, since they can't distinguish him by his middle-eastern semitic followers. And this to mention only the physical appearence, since I will NOT get into an exquisitly religious debate here. This is LEGO, it's a MOC based on a play on words between Star Wars and a a popular (and awesome) musical. There's nothing more to it. |
|

Hehe, in your next moc you should burn some qur'ans :) Some comments let me think, US christians have missed 2 or 3 centuries... |

Hey Yuri, as a matter of fact I did read it all... and yes, he could have, but he didn't... the write-up here does sort of imply that the weapons are used to some extent (last time I checked Jesus didn't smite even a single person). Plus, it's pretty obvious that you couldn't have meant anyone other than Jesus Christ himself... the crown of thorns and cross leave little room for that (and the whip is an especially tasteless touch). Seriously, I would delete this MOC... you've offended me and several other people, and I'd like to point out that the CFOL group is one of the largest groups on MOCpages. Chances are quite a few members will be offended by this as much as I was.

Justin, if you're really offended by this, look at it another way. Yuri is using Jesus as the figurehead of the ship, there fore somewhat respecting Jesus, even if Yuri is not Christian. And secondly, you've got to read through the whole thing. I know my explanation might be weird or wrong, but still, just have another look at the ship, from Yuri's view. |

I'm inclined to think of it more like Justin did... pretty much just offensive. The build quality is great, but the subject matter is a little... touchy, to say the least. Using something that looks like Jesus Christ to destroy whole planets... it's less than tasteful.
Hey, who said anything about ACTUALLY destroyng whole planets? Are you implying that Jesus could NOT have destroyed anything he wished, IF he wanted to? Did you miss the part where it uses non-lethal attacks to repel trespassers? Did you read only what you wanted to read up there? |

Hey Yuri, its original i'll give you that, personally i've deffinately seen better building from you. The thing that irks me here is that some people only know the fictional character as the real character - something went well amiss in early hebrew-english translation. Which most of my family has been studying for around 3-4 years. This is probably the reason why some will get offended - keep in mind that Jesus will not be laughing along-side anyone who does something knowing it will offend a brother from another mother, don't get me wrong, offense with the right reason is fine (How else did He get the pharisees to hate him so much?). I liked Kelso's idea, Vader and the Technicolour Dreamcoat - play on words with a little less religious connotation. By the way, the small ships are a spot of genius bro. ~Thoy ;-) |

This MOC is of biblical proportions, but I am nagged by one sticky wicket. Shouldn't the hair be blond. I know, the parts don't come in the right colors.
Technically, it's the eyes that should be black/dark brown... and the hair too (technically, Jesus was palestinian). That's why I said it was inspired by the fictional character. Seriously, one of the things that impressed me the most is that everybody was OK with the blue eyes (except one). I'd say this makes it quite clear on what people consider to be the "historical figure" and what they consider to be the "fictional character" :) |
