No Refuge: Part 44- Hope
Previously: During the attack on The Refuge, Kira was taken onto the Raven. Jake tried to stop them, bu they escaped with Kira.
About this creation
Music for this part:

The Refuge was decimated.

Jake stood starring into the distance.

He turned to face the group behind him.

Jake: "So what's the plan?"

Loch: "We move forward without reinforcements. We attack Eden."

Jake: "What!? No! I mean how are we going to get Kira back?"

Loch: "There's no time Jake. The Prophet is clearly desperate to finish us off. That can only mean he's ready to unleash his final plans. We need to stop him before it's too late."

Jake: "Well good luck with that. I'm going after Kira."

Loch: "Have fun going out there alone!"

Ashlin: "Maybe he doesn't have to go alone."

Loch: "Are you going to betray the cause as well?"

Ashlin: "No. If the Prophet is as desperate as you say he is, then he must be pulling all his troops to the base of operations: Eden. If they took Kira anywhere, it's likely to be there."

Ashlin: "Jake! We'll help you find Kira!"

Jake stopped, glad to hear the good news.

Loch gave a small sigh.
Loch: "Everyone, gear up."

The group disperssed.

Jake walked back up to Ashlin.
Jake: "Thank you."

Ashlin: "Everything's going to be fine. We just need to have faith."

Loch walked down into the bunker.

Everyone had been killed.

He went to the computer and typed something in.

The large metal plate outside began to open.

Everyone watched as the platform rose out of the ground.

A large ship stood before them.

Parts of the ship began to move and extend outward.

Loch walked toward the open dropship.
Loch: "Shaun, get in the cockpit. Everybody else get on."

Everyone walked onto the ship.

Ashlin: "Come on Jake. It'll be fine."

Jake took a deep breath and walked onto the ship.

The dropship slowly rose into the air.
Loch: "Nice and easy now. We're a little over max capacity. Just get us to Eden in one piece."

Quoting Nufalak of Mythada I honestly wouldn't know. I came up with the design for this ship with as little outside influence as I could.
It may have been just the music and the way you did the comic. Also, the shape of their drop-ship and the Falcon is very similar (at least in my mind. For one thing, they are both capable of VTOL activities. Only the Falcon is a tilt-rotor. And the cockpit is about the same shape.). Yeah, I fully understand the desire to be original in building.

Quoting Nufalak of Mythada Well, to be honset, my inspiration is anything and everything Ive seen, heard, and done in my life. But if you want some specifics for No Refuge, here you go: 9, Alan Wake, Angels and Demons, Armored Core, Assassin's Creed, Babylon A.D, Batman, Bioshock, Book of Eli, Borderlands, The DaVinci Code, Devil May Cry, District 9, Fallout 3, Gears of War, Halo, I Am Legend, I Robot, Infamous, Iron Man, Jak 3, Jericho, Left 4 Dead, Mass Effect, Prototype, Terminator Salvation, Timesplitters 3, Transformers, War of the Worlds, etc.
Holy crap...you see, I'm not that into video games/movies, so I have no idea what the storylines of the games are...I recognize a a couple movies, though...The DaVinci Code has some good stuff, forgot about it...

Quoting Finn C-Q Just a thought, but would the sky otherwise be grey?
Yeeaahhh... Skies are actually really hard to make, so I just went with white backgrounds for everything.

Quoting Justin L. Part 45 is going to be good...Hey Nufalak, where'd you get your inspiration? I have Chapter 1 (The equivalent of your season) ready, but for the next three I wan't to know where you get your inspiration so I can use those sources, too. That ship looks like the Raven...

Quoting Master Emerald Phoenix Alright! That's a good chapter. the expressions felt real, the dialogue was good, even though I have now found Ashlin's catch phrase. ("...have faith...") The build of the ariship was very good, even if it could use some improvements such as less studs everywhere and some more detailed tile plates and what-not, as well as a bit of greebling around the cockpit hood, or even cables for the characters to hold on to. Aside from that, good job on the presentation of the airship. My favorite part was the airship pulling out of the ground. You really made a good directorial choice with keeping the refugre UNDERGROUND, since there's so much more you can imply without having to ever build. MEP
Glad you liked it :) I had been wanting to have a ship come out of the ground since early in the series, and I finally got to try it with this one. As for the "catch phrase", its supposed to be an allusion to earlier in the series when Jake told Ashlin to have faith and helped her through her struggles. Since then she's had a change of heart about him (remember when they first met?) and is willing to help him through his struggles now.

Like I said: Villains never learn! They always make the mistake of ticking off the hero! Great episode! Great music choice by the way! Is it just me, or does their drop-ship look like a Falcon from Halo: Reach?

Why am I up at 10:00 when I could be sleeping? the best thing ever? oh well. I can feel a big fight coming! Music fitted it perfectly, especially when the drop ship came out of the ground. I would have thought the people would have been more sad that everyone died though.
