About this creation
First off, I'm in the category "Mosaic Portrait." Okay, keep reading...

Welcome to the first (and final) Lego® Mosaic Art Display! And, lucky you, you have stumbled upon the star exhibit, FEAR! If you want to see the other mosaic on display, be sure to view my opponent, Michael Qoyawayma’s homepage, which can be viewed here. And once you’re done viewing this one, you may travel through time and space (or whatever passes for time and space on the internet) to return to the MocOlympics homepage, which can be found here. Now, on to the exhibit!

The problem with Lego® mosaics is that the only way to get a good amount of detail into it is to make it really big. Yeah, like THAT was gonna happen with my bricks! Who do you think I am, Sean Kenney?!

I think I managed to express a good amount of emotion in the scale of this, though. The wide eyes, the raised eyebrows, the sweat, all convey fear of something. Of what, we don’t know, unless you consider that the model was looking at me while I took his picture… or maybe Chris was walking past the window at that moment. Hmm…

FEAR’s dimensions are 16x32 studs. Yeah, I just used the baseplate and went from there. Actually, I was working on an eye and realized that it was way too big. I liked how it had turned out, though, so I decided to just do half a face. Noses and mouths are overrated, I find. The mosaic is one brick in width, and the baseplate back is Gark grey (not bley).

"If you mention any number in association with walls and commentaries, I'm gonna throw up on you!" Commentary: Well, that concludes my entry for Round 2. I dedicate this to the judges, who I hate for giving me this category, and to my dear, sweet mother, who does so much for me. Really. Also, I have an announcement to make. Shifu! Matt! Jason! Stop giggling back there and pay attention! I'm afraid I will have to withdraw from the MocOlympics after this round. In fact, I will not be on at all until Thanksgiving, due to many unforeseen complications to my life. I fought hard to finish this round, so as to not leave Mike hanging, but if I win, the judges will please drop me from the runnings. I will still be brickin' during my time in limbo, and I intend to assemble a small collage that you can take a look at once I'm back. Then, whichever ones you say that you want to look at in more detail, I will post it as a full MOC. Good luck to Michael and all of the other contestants, and I'm putting my money on Andrew this year (now that I'm out). :) Keep on brickin'!

Quoting Heath 'kik36' Flor The sweat is a great touch....but this was a weak entry. You know it's a weak entry when you can't even get behind it. Next time I suggest taking the full time to come up with a more solid idea....don't be too impatient. Either way, I think it's great that you were a part of the Olympics and actually posted an entry!
I understand what you're saying, but I just don't have the pieces to build a mosaic any bigger than this. And I had no time to get it posted, due to personal stuff.

Yes, finish with honor. Oh, and I can giggle, because I'm not any of the previously mentioned people so...*giggle-giggle-giggle. Okay, now where was I? Oh yes, nice mosaic, I would totally fail at this category if I was given it. Like really, I wouldn't know what to do. And too bad I won't hear from you again until after Thanksgiving! I'm guessing school, right? One more thing, I noticed you changed your Icon. Even though it is now technically correct, I really liked your other one better, but maybe that's just me. Quoting you, "Keep on brick'in." ~Waff

HA. You didn't say that I couldn't giggle and not pay attention! In all seriousness though, Life before Lego. Whatever you'll be doing, good luck to you. Love the mosaic, and any money on me is not the best idea...
