Federal Capital of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol, Caprica City is the Solar System's leading cultural and scientific center.
About this creation
These buildings, at the City Center, were inspired by the renowned architect from Aerilon, P. Wellington, as well as Joaquin Cantolla from Tauron. This part of the City contains the highest number of skyscrapers, and due to the airborne nature of the city traffic, it has no paved roads. Instead, citizens enjoy a series of walkways and running paths between buildings.

The City consists of a variety of building styles, with influences from all of the Twelve Worlds.

The City contains not only the Three Branches of the Colonial Government, it also contains the Ministry of Defense's Mainframe Computer.

Although more secular than the other Colonies, Caprica does have its share of religious buildings. Here we see the Temple of Ares.

As a hub of technological advancement, Caprica City was the location chosen for the Graystone Industries Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.

Caprica City is home to some 7 million inhabitants, the largest city on Caprica.

Wow, Barto. This is fantastic. I don't know how I missed this. I love all the different styles of building, really gives it that space/futuristic look. My fear for my city is that it will look more like a sculpture and nobody will recognize it as a city. Definitely not a problem here. Well done.
Thanks, Tim! This is actually a pretty old build now. I know what you mean, a lot of 'futuristic' cities often look like terrariums, but that's cool. Do what you want, you never know what' going to grab peoples' attention! |

Fantastic looking, straight out of the movies. Nice use of parts. How do you put the background on?
I looked on Google for pictures that were more or less what I was after; water, mountains, temperate climate. Took pics of the city from a similar perspective, a little Gimp action, and badda bing! I invited you to the Rocket Surgery Group, there are plenty of threads, you can read all about it! |
