Engine 301 went on first call together with Squad 17.
Once on scene it became clear that the truck was transporting gasoline.
So a possible HAZMAT call was given.
SOC-1, HAZMAT 1, Rescue 301 and Batt. 3 responded.
The truck driver was evacuated and checked by EMT's but transportation to a hospital was not necesary
The crews of Engine 301 and Squad 17 couldnt find a steady water supply, so Tanker 3 was requested on scene.
After 15 minutes the fire was put out, using the CAFS from Squad 17 and Tanker 3, Engine 301 used a portable foamtank.
HAZMAT did some checks and measurements on and around the truck, but no gasoline leaked, and there was no danger for explosions due to the isolation inside the trailer.
The trailer was picked up by another truck, the wreckage of the truck that caught fire was towed away.
Fire crews where on scene cleaning up for an hour.
Cause of the fire is belived to be a mechanical failure.
