About this creation
While thinking about what I should build next, I realized that I've never built a plane before; so here's my first-ever serious plane - the iconic P-51 Mustang. I ended up sacrificing some aesthetic quality on the backs of the wings for stability, so this MOC is actually quite swooshable!

Wow! I realy like the way that you gave the wing correct thickness - very neat indeed!
I'm afraid I'll be a bit pedantic though, and say that the canopy looks more FW-190-ish than the one on the D variant of the P-51 (the one I presumed you were making!). Although I am very impressed by the technique you used - bubble canopies are a right pain! |

Glad to see someone with your great skills building a plane. For a first try it's not bad at all. I like the smoothness, how you angled the wings. I don't like the nose and the rear fuselage. It seems there's no retractable landing gear too. So it's not really an accurate P-51D but I like it even though I prefer Mike Psiaki's P-51D. |

I never noticed this P-51, excellent detail especially on the propellers, why not make it into a 332nd or 352nd Mustang? |

Well the P-51 is one of the few planes I can identify, and your representation looks very sleek and powerful (ideal for a good swoosh), bravo. |

Inspiring work. Doesn't look too hard at first glance, but it must have been some time spent figuring it out along the way. Thanks for sharing. |

My dad was a B-17G commander and refered to the P-51 as "Little Friends." They saved many American pilot's lives. You have done an amazing job with this build. I too have followed your work since joining these pages. It is without compare. Regards, Eric. |

Now you are talking!!! What a GREAT Job on the P 51. JUST Fantastic. You are one of my favorite builders and I respect your Creative Imagination as one of the Best with Legos and i am sure your skills are transferable. I am 65 today and I rediscivered my love of Legos 2 years ago and follow your work with them. Some of your work is Way Out But I love It and this P 51 for me is a special treat. Keep up the UNBELIEVABLE Work Tom Thompson (TT) |
