MOC Olympics-R2-2B-Dan Church vs. Roger Brickjet
MOC Olympics 2010 Round 2, Group 2B, category "Mix n' Match"
About this creation
This is my second round entry into the 2010 MOC Olympics! I build in the category of "Mix n' Match" against the worthy opponent of Roger Brickjet! And of course, here's the Linky-Pinky to the MOC Olympics Group. The restrictions of my category was to somehow through 3+ themes into one MOC/ Story, and this is what my random mass of synapses in that hard thing on top of my shoulders came up with(I can't take credit for this, it has a mind of its own...)

Anyways... Enjoy...'Deadliest Minifigure'!

Sam: “Good evening and welcome to ‘Deadliest Minifigure’! The Galaxy wide search for the ultimate Minifig warrior! I’m your host Sam Brickington along side Josh Anderstud, and boy do we have an action packed episode for you tonight! Our competitors come from all across space and time."
Josh: "That's right Sam, we have Legendary warriors competing tonight for the coveted Golden Minifigure!"

Sam: "Now, lets head over to the Battle Prep Centre to meet todays competitors."

Sam: "And here are the combatants for the first battle of the night!"

Sam: "All the way from ancient Greece, we have the Mighty Spartan!"
Josh: "This legend is known for the amazing performance of 300 Spartans against thousands of Persian warriors, they had the dominant position of a bottleneck ravine that only could fit so many, and they used that to there advantage. Truly a remarkable warrior!"

Sam: "From 14th Century Japan, we had the Stealthy Ninja!"
Josh: "The ninja were rebel commoners who were angry and the feudal style of government present in Japan. They used common farming tools as weapons to defeat the mighty Samurai."

Sam: "Now our warriors will be sent to a random virtually generated environment not familiar to either competitor to duel it out to advance to the FINAL FIGHT! We'll be back after the break."

Sam: "And we're back! The Spartan and Ninja have been sent to a rooftop to fight it out to the finish.!"

Josh: "It looks like the Ninja is going to try and go for an aerial strike, but he better watch out for the Spartan's...."

Josh: "...Spear. These Spartans are used to being hit from above, and have very quick reflexes to get that spear into the air."

Sam: "Looks like our fair Ninja is on a trip off the side of the roof and into the never ending "Game Over" zone.

Sam: "Well, umm, that was certainly faster than we thought it would be, maybe there's a trend forming."

Josh: " In any case, let's move on to our next match-up!"

Sam: "Our next match-up is between warriors from opposite sides of the Galaxy."

Sam: "From the planet of Hawleth, we have the Mighty Troll of Hyponte!"
Josh: " These Trolls are mean with their axes, and very centered around traditions"

Sam: "From Modern day Degras-II, we have the infamous Transigpor Yuildik!"
Josh: "Yuildik's weapons are made from elements found nowhere be there home planet, and said elements are used to conduct static electricity and stun their opponents."

Sam: "Now we send them off to their generated battlefield to duel it out for the spot to advance to the FINAL FIGHT!"

Josh: "Well, our match-up has landed in a giant Yetusquell Zen Garden! And look, there's even a giant minifig hand!"

Josh: "The troll is standing on one of the garden's three Trepself Rock Buds, these Buds are very rare, and can only be grown with precise lines combed in the sands of these gardens."

Sam: "Our competitors are making their way towards each other and trying to avoid the very fine sand as to not sink in and get stuck."

Sam: "Look at this, another quick defeat! Our troll has lassoed his opponent to the sand and swung his axe into his opponent's back!."

Josh: "It sure looks like quick defeats is the theme of the night!"

Sam: "Now, we have our final competitors ready to face off in the battle of their lives! Their training will do very little to help them in whatever environment they end up in."

Josh: "And of course, they want to bring that trophy home and put it on their mantle piece!"

Sam: "Once again, we are here in the Battle Prep Centre to finalize the match-up, and send them off to the FINAL FIGHT!"

Josh: "After defeating the Japanese legendary Ninja, the Spartan is looking stronger and more prepared than ever!"

Sam: "And our troll looks energized and calm at the same time as he prepares for possibly his final battle."

Josh: "And away they go! We shall see in a minute where they will land."

Sam: "We are back, and our competitors have landed on three miniature planets! You heard right, planets! Gravity is completely independent by planets, and once you're three studs above the surface, there is no more gravity to pull you down."
Josh: "That'll certainly add a difficult twist to our FINAL FIGHT!"

Sam: "Look at our Spartan running on the side of the planet! Gravity is all that is holding him there, let's hope he keeps his footing."

Josh: "The troll is running towards the center largest planet presumably to meet his opponent and try to through him high enough that he won't come down!"

Sam: "Well, our competitors have met on the center planet, and THE SPARTAN PUTS HIS SPEAR UNDER THE TROLL AND THROWS HIM INTO THE AIR!"

Josh: "And the trend continues! This may be the fastest journey to victory ever achieved on this show!
Sam: "The Spartan from ancient Greece has won it!"

Sam: "We have the victorious Spartan with us here in the studio and josh will now present our winner with the Trophy."
Josh: "For your extraordinary performance, and for defeating everyone you faced in this competition, I proudly present you with the Golden Minifigure. You've earned it! Would you like say anything?
Spartan: "THIS. IS. SPARTA!"

And The END! This MOC was basically an excuse to show off some CM2 parts, and have the Spartan win something.

So here's a couple of behind the scenes photos showing one setup that was off camera, and all of the builds.

Thanks guys!

Ciao

Quoting Dan Church You failed to notice the 'lol' at the end of Captain Connor Patterson's statement. i.e. he was only kidding.
I took the 'lol' as if he was making fun of you, in some sort, or laughing at how funny the mistake was. If he wrote 'jk', I definitely would have known he was kidding around. Sorry, about the confusion.

*turning green with envy* I should vote for your opponent just on the sheer principle of you rubbing the new series 2 stuff in my face (but then that would be a bit hypocritical of me after my last post and that BL order)! Joking aside, a great post. Nice building, excellent presentation. Congrats...you've got my vote!

Zen garden? Mini planets? Wow. My only concern is the blatant lack of effort in designing your champion, but I vote for you anyway (duh).

Love it, great build and story! I will post my entry in a few minutes but be prepared to win! I'm still a rookie AFOL and started something that I could not get my bricks around i.e. my MOC is far from finished. I am really sorry for not putting up more of an opposition, still I can't leave with a WO, I'd rather loose the honorable way - total pwnage :) I wish you the best of luck in the rest of the MOs.

Very entertaining! I love that show, and I saw that episode. But you took it up several notches. In fact it might make a good TV show, pitting various fictitious characters against each other. Cylon vs Terminator; Klingon vs Sith, just to name a few...
