No Refuge: Epilogue
Previously: Jake made a final attempt to stop The Prophet and the Order of the Crown. He killed the Hunter and rescued Kira, but stayed behind to finish the job...
About this creation
Music for this part:

The dropship continued flying.

Loch: "We did good today everyone. The Crown has been weakened, in both force and resolve."

"I know the attack didn't go as planned, but we still accomplished something. We showed them that they aren't untouchable. We have opened the door for others to keep fighting."

"This was a victory. Remember that."

Kira turned away and looked back toward Eden.

Tye: "Hey. You alright?"

Kira turned back toward Eden, not saying a word."

Tye: "Everything's gonna be alright. I promise."

Kira didn't respond.

Suddenly, a bright flash came from the city.

Tye: "No..."

Loch realized what just happened.
Loch: "Shaun. Bring the ship down."

Later that night, the group gathered by a large fire.

Loch: "I want to thank you all again. None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for you, and I appreciate you being here."

"I know we have all been through a lot, and we've all struggled to get to this point. We have all lost many things, and we have all been affected by this new world."

"But this is just the beginning. The Crown has been weakened, and we as a people are beginning to thrive once more."

"Look. The sun is setting on this day, but tomorrow it will rise again. So too shall we. Tomorrow's a new day full of new opportunities."

All of you who were a part of this today will be remembered. I know it wasn't easy, it required much courage and strength."

"You will never be forgotten. Those of you who are here... and those who are no longer with us. Their sacrifice will not be in vain. All of you will be remembered as the strong men and women who brought a new dawn to this world."

Everyone stood silent, letting the events of the past few days sink in."

It was Tye who finally broke the silence.
Tye: "So what do we do now?"

Loch: "We press forward. We rebuild and move on. There is still much work to be done and we can't stop now... Will you be staying?"

Tye looked at Kira, tears forming in her eyes."

Tye: "We can't. We can't stay. It's been too painful."

Loch: "I understand. I'm sorry for your loss. Where will you go?"

Tye: "I'm not sure. We'll look for a settlement somewhere. Start over. Create a new home."

Loch walked toward Tye.

Loch: "Well then, best of luck to you, friend."

Tye: "You too. And thank you."

i have an idea for no refuge 2: Jake lives the explosion, but barely. The Crown finds him and rebuilds him as a cyborg/augmented.Jake escapes and tries to find the resistance again. I think you should add that.

Quoting Vohfur Serterun I have read both No Refuge and No Refuge II and all i can come up with is that they both are great, its defineatly worth the wait for each ep, thank you for sharing this great series Nufalak. I have a question, how many episodes are left of No Refuge 2. Another question, will you be making a third installment in the series?
It's going to have the same amount of episodes as the first one, so there are still 30 episodes to go plus the epilogue. The next wave of episodes should be ready to start sometime this week. And yes, I do plan on doing a third instalment. Now, how realistic that is is beyond me, seeing as Im already having some trouble with the scale of things in NR2 and NR3 would have some MASSIVE scenes... I'm definitley going to try though.

Quoting your friendly neighborhood necromorph . i still love the sieries. Just read the whole thing again to be ready for part 2. But i must know, how do you embed music?
As you can probably tell, I use youtube for my music. So, on a youtube page, click the "Share" button under the video. It will come up with a bar that says "link this video". Under that theres an "Embed" button. Click that, and then under the box with the code in it, there should be some checked off boxes. Uncheck the HTTPS one and check the "Use old embed code" button to use the video on mocpages.

Quoting figgy TheFiggster First of all, let me say that this is an amazing comic that honestly just got better and better as the story progressed. This would make an excellent video game that I would play over and over again. You should make a sequel where Jake went to heaven and met god, and was somehow given life again. Have you ever done stop motion animation before? You should make this into a movie! If you had enough time and ideas and a not-too-lame-to-be-posted-online story, would you make a sequel?

Ya, I destroy them once Im done. At least the ones I know Im done with for sure, like the Resistance Dropship is gone already. Pretty much all the scenes in this series were all recycled pieces of eachother. As for the instructions, I really cant do it with larger sets, since building them is completely experimental with no real plans. Id have to completely take them apart.

Eh, I'd rather you didn't. There's a lot of background that's unclear and some things that aren't fully explained, giving the story a nice sense of mystery and realism at the end. I kinda wanna keep it that way, and fan fiction would kinda ruin it. I don't mean any offense of course, I just want this series to stay the way it is :)

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [fn] Psa 91:2 I will say [fn] of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Psa 91:3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. Psa 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psa 91:5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, Psa 91:6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. Psa 91:7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. Psa 91:8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. Psa 91:9 If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the Lord, who is my refuge-- Psa 91:10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. Psa 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; Psa 91:12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Psa 91:13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. Psa 91:14 "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. I thought this fit in with your story. Psa 91:15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. Psa 91:16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Quoting Bourne 223 nice job :] i viewed every one, and i can't believe that this was such a long series. i was always waiting for the next one to come out but never realized the span of the series as a whole. i feel that for this storyline that the ending was both adequate and final, meaning that i think it fit and that it ended leaving no really big unanswered questions.
That's what I thought. I think it was a pretty good length of story, which is why I don't understand why so many people are confused and sad that it's over. As for the ending, I agree completely. I wanted the ending to fit into the story and not really leave anything hanging. I wanted the viewers to know about everything that happened, but have it still feel like life really will go on after the story.

Quoting Christian Schlichting Mh, ok but still not clear. I mean at least this race hates us so why not just extinct by jealously? That's more logical for me. BTW, in the book version you may could the prophet naming himself Luzifer (or something related e.g. Iblis) at end. BECAUSE of the sory of the fallen angel who get jealous about the humans who are loved more than the angels by god in mythology.
No, Im gonna stick to the Prophet, since it's still religious and it fits better. He isn't jealous of them, he just wants to do what he believes to be God's will, like an actual Prophet.

Quoting Christian Schlichting Great emotional finale. And i must say, i like if a story ends with some open questions and mysteries. What's a bit unsatisfying is that the "genetic experiments"-plot doesn't seem to fit fully into the Crowns big plan but maybe their race just needed to keep their own race alive. Lots of possibilities to go deeper or making a sequel in that franchise but it's ok to stay in mystery who these people really are.
Well, it wasn't stated directly, but if you paid close attention to all the details throughtout the story you would know what the genetic experiments were for. Here's how it goes: The Crown believe Earth to be a chosen planet favored by God, and the people of Earth a chosen race. However, these people have strayed from the path of righteousness while the Crown has stayed on the path. They believe if they take the genetics of the chosen people and combine it with their own, then they can create a prefect race worthy of returning to live with God.

You managed to keep it going so long, and it was still really popular. Out there in the world is a happy MOCer clapping. Clap clap. Sorry, I got carried away. Clap.
No, that's not what happened. No one knows where the machine came from, but the Crown have known about it for years and it has been a vital part of their mission. What it was supposed to do is, once activated by the biblical artifacts, manipulate the internal energies of the Earth and flip the magnetic poles. This would result in cataclysmic changes in the Earths geography, a weakening of the atmosphere, and a solar flare from the sun being pulled toward the Earth, covering the Earth in fire and killing everyone and everything on it. The Crown made escape shuttles and took who they deemed worthy to save on them. They believed once the Earth was destroyed, Christ would come again, recreate the Earth in a glorified state, and rule over the righteous as their king.
