Floating Oasis
A couple of days ago, i had a serious builder block. So, i took a trip to swooshable.com's fadmasher. After clicking on "MASH ME A NEW ONE!" a few thousand times, floating rocks and steampunk came up. I then, started working on it. The result is The Floating Oasis. A stop off where you can refuel your steam powered airship and your stomach. Hope you like it!

Every floating island needs a drunk old guy.

The floating rock

See? It's floating...

The docks on the other hand, do not float, so they need supports.

Lacy Shilling and her trusty sextant. She says that it is the bes sextant she's ever had!

The engine that powers the Soaring Narwal

The engine again

The balloon

I absolutely love steampunk themed stuff and when i saw this, i tried making my own floating island, but i ran out of pieces(i have very few brown and green pieces, and not nearly enough of the pieces you used for the underside) so i scraped it before completing it,ill probably try remaking it later. I love all of your steampunk stuff there all excellent and really well done!:D

Quoting I Scream Clone (*) Wow Jason, this is just beautiful work all round, so much for block! I will spend a while looking through all these great touches, so much to enjoy. Can I ask what holds the ballon sides together, some combination of travis bricks or brackets? Josh.
Thanks! Glad you like it! The ball is held together with twelve of these. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30414

I loved how you managed to get a nice organic feel to the rock. And who doesn't love a good LEGO fountain? The engine on the ship is a standout as well. There are just so many great little details to take in. Way to crush the builders block into smithereens, Jason.
