Secret Bunker
This is a MOC of a secret bunker I intended to use in a larger MOC, with a slightly unintenional Blacktron II look.
About this creation
I built this before my long vacation, but I didn't post it until now. I was looking for an excuse to use the technique for the front window/vent things, and ended up with this. The entire build just screamed "Blacktron" to me, so I added some lime green where I could.
This is the first time I haven't had to edit photos for a MOC, since I usually need to raise the contrast.

Here's a guard in front of the front entrance, which has a door that slides up to allow entry. The guard was inspired by various special operations units, particularly the United States Navy SEALs. The M-4 proves that you don't need to use Brickarms to get realistic weapons. I'm very happy with how the minifigure turned out.

In response to a question I recieved about the interior, here are two pictures of various interior details I attempted. This first is near the entrance, with the edge of the doorframe for the main door just visible on the extreme left of the picture.

Here's the right side, with a computer towards the foreground and an elevator entrance on the right. I liked the half-stud offset on the doors, and the green stripe. The rest is pretty unremarkable.

Photographing this now-scrapped work in progress was a pain... does anyone have any tips for photographing this most un-photogenic of LEGOョ colors? It's quite unruly in front of a lens.

Here's the closing shot, and a technique tip: the front window/vents are made from #658326 train railings, SNOTted in sideways next to each other.
Oh, that grey cloth is a LEGO cape, so I'm still a purist.
Thanks for looking, and please comment!

Quoting Tom Simon I do like the vents on the door, and you already know I'm a fan of your purist small arms. You can up your game here a bit by attaching all the debris somehow. Both Aliencat and Nannan Z. have achieved those effects.
I'll keep that in mind for future creations with 'clutter' like this. There is a support structure for the debris in this one, but the debris doesn't attach to it.

Quoting 17 - Chief Andreas Lendeckel Really cool! What might be in there^^?
In real life, just a simple lime green floor and bare black walls. What you could put in it is totally left to the imagination.

Quoting El Barto ! Cool build! I like the railings put together for that bars on the doors look. Reminds me of my appt in West Philadelphia. Got a follow up in the works?
Not at the moment, but the railing technique will, I'm sure, reappear in future creations.

Quoting Deus The Risen It looks good but sadly there is no technique behind it. Like an earlier form of greebling. The bunker is sooooo good!
The scattered pieces? They're intended more as a backdrop than a central element, but I'll keep that in mind.

Quoting Matt Hanson This is really neat! I like the colors you used here, the neon green within the black and all the black and grey around it all goes really well together. It would be cool to have a space craft or vehicle to go along with this theme...
Thanks for commenting! The neon green and black together are alreay a theme, called Blacktron II. The jumbled parts were my own work, and maybe I'll take your advice on making mroe like this.

This is really neat! I don't know what it is; maybe it's the clean bunker set-in with all those legos, or maybe it's the fact that it makes me want a story, but either way - great MOC! Quoting Space Rat something about this just screams borderlands.
It's probably because of the jumble of random elements that it's built into. Thanks for commenting.
