The city of Lisbon, where I live, in the 18th century, made in Lego, before the 1755 earthquake destroyed it. It was then rebuilt by the Marquis of Pombal, one of the great historical figures of Portugal
About this creation
I inspired in the Praça do Rossio, where now is the Praça of King Peter the IV, which is called Rossio by everyone.
A carriage. I took the inspiration from the carriages in the Museum of Carriages in Lisbon, one of the largest collections of carriages in the world, if not the greatest, where I went a few days ago.
I must thank Sir Nadroj for his Bavarian Carriage of König Ludwig II for the driver's seat.
I decided to make a simple carriage because I have no gold lego pieces. So imagine this is a normal noble's carriage.
The doors open and close. The carriage is simetrical (of course) and there's room for at least two minifigs.
I almost ran out red dark pieces... But it turned out well.
I love the back part and the wheels.
I made no furniture for the house. What you see is what you get...The façade of the house. Really, you should see me trying to make old furniture (futuristic ok but old...).
The figure in the left is a noble with his hat (the black hats are made of cardboard and were made by my dad) and a Jesuit with is closed hat.
Another minifig with a great outfit from the Mogul Empire, in Legindia, and a mosket.

Like the lamps? It's dark in there but there's a bench to sell stuff and some beautiful arches (damn you black pieces!)
A guy buying food in the street, very common, it still is. Like the chef's hat?

The typical rat mouse scene I put in my castles and dioramas. This time Scratchy will win over Itchy!
The Inquisition was present in Portugal since the reign of the King John III to the King John VI so since the XVI century to the XIX century, but it didn't work between 1640 and 1707 and with the Marquis of Pombal, it was transformed into a sort of state police. Thanks to it, Portugal spent years in ignorance, pursuing and burning intelectualls and jewish bankers, among many other innocents... We lost all our potential...

It's based in several churches, the stairs come from pictures of the Hospital of All Saints, which burned in the earthquake.

Musicians. The XVIIIth century was a wonderful century for Music. Bach, Vivaldi, Scarlatti... Even in Portugal, a undeveloped country, Music was excellent! These are a celloist (playing a viola da gamba) and a flutist (playing a recorder)

A baroque painting of the Virgin Mary. It turned out quite well.

Jesuits. Controlled the education and the kings through confessions. Glad they're gone!
